I moved today. I hired a company off the internet. Big star moving. www.bigstarmoving.com. I called this company to assist me with my move. When I spoke to the owner he was very pleasant and informed me that they were running a special on top of their "$199 moving special" for $239 dollars instead of the $199 advertised special, they were offering 3 movers instead of 2. I accepted the offer and was told that I would receive a confirmation via email. I never got an email. I followed up two days ago and confirmed the date. The owner was very pleasant again and assured me his men would be there. When they showed up this morning, there was only 2 men instead of three. I immediately said to the movers, "I was told three men would be here" they shrugged their shoulders and started moving boxes. The move took 4 hours. With three men, it would have taken 2 hours. Instead I was charged for 4 hours. I called the owner as I was paying the bill and expressd my feelings of being lied to. The owner proceeded to call me names and tell me I was a liar and a scam artist. He proceeded to tell me that I was a deadbeat customer and how dare I accuse him of lying. I politely said "I will never use you again" and hung up. The owner quickly called back and told me he would be writing reviews about me because I was a "deadbeat customer" and if I wrote a bad review about his company "I would suffer the consequences".

Needless to say Big Star Moving is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They lied to me over the phone to secure my buinsess and then proceeded to threaten legal action and physical harm to me if I wrote a bad review on the internet. He also told me that him and his men would deal with me. I hung up the phone. He proceeded to send text upon text telling me that there would be consequences if I wrote anything about his company. I did not understand why he was so scared of an internet review. I began searching reviews on the internet about this company. I was not surprised to hear that others had experiencend the same treatment. Nobody deserves to have a bad review written about them on the internet. Mistakes and miscommunications happen. This company deserves to be exposed. I hope my review and the other reviews expressing the same issues will make an innocent consumer steer clear of this complete joke of a company. This all would have been solved if the owner just accepted that I would not use his company again. The bottom line is, he lied to me to secure my buinsess. When I called him out on it, he began attacking me like a child and threatening harm to me. Please avoid this company. The owner is childish and needs anger management therapy. Read the other reviews and take his rebuttals with a grain of salt. The bad reviews are all true.

Read the other report on this site. The same exact thing happend to someone else. They were told three movers would come and two showed up. When they confronted the owner. He reacted in the same fashion as he did with me. I read his rebuttals in all of the negative reviews on yelp and google. Instead of being professional and attempting to make the customer happy, he attacks and trys to refute the review. Get a clue. Stop verbally attacking clients and avoid lying to secure buinsess. There will be no need to refute bad reviews because they won't exist.
