Blackstone Mechanical CORP Tried to Steal $2,500 from Me, Lied, Claimed Client (Aldi's) Wasn't Happy With Job So They Could Pocket Profits New Jersey Jersey City

This company is full of liars and con artists. The other week they hired me to do a $2500 job. The job entailed picking up several very large boulders and installing them as bollards at an Aldi's and painting them yellow. This was a very time consuming and tough job.

I finished the job and they tried to lie and tell me that the company (Aldi's) was not happy with the work and was not going to pay. This is called a "recall". Initially they had tried to negotiate the price down however the margins were slim and I refused telling them we had already negotiated the price for the job before I started and I could not lower it by $500+ as I wouldn't be making any money.

The next day they called me claiming their was a "recall". I was immediately suspicious. Well, I did some investigating and called Aldi's corporate and ended up speaking with the general manager of the region. She was very helpful and kind and told me that this absolutely not true and that they definitely wanted the boulders and even sent me an email containing all the emails back and forth from black stone, including the price they were paid for the job, which was around $3500.

They LIED and tried to STEAL $2500 from me. It took me calling out their blatant lies and showing them proof from the general manager and THREATENING to destroy my work and remove the boulders which would have forced them to pay more money to hire someone else or risk losing the client to get them to finally pay out.

They still have SEVERAL invoices they NEVER paid, all jobs they had hired me to do within that same week. They are sneaky, manipulative and you cannot trust these people. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM! There is a chance they will NOT pay you and pocket all the money from their clients and leave you in the dust!

Not to mention they are VERY unprofessional and lie to all their clients and claim the subcontractors are all their employees. What a bunch of trash. When you listen to them lie you can tell they have been lying for a long time and are very good at it. Unfortuanely for them I am not stupid.

I am still coming for the rest of my money Blackstone. You do NOT just get to rip people off and get away with it. I wish I would have read around because I am not the only contractor who has had this experience with them.
