Boston Culinary Group Centerplate Says they will feed you but then don't or give you cold food Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Don't work for Boston Culinary group if you aren't trying to lose weight. The pay isn't too bad if your not afraid of a little work. They have you sign a form in Orientation that states you are entitled to a free meal on every shift. But after the last 2 events for them which is the PA Annual Farm Show and a day of the Sportsman's Show you come to learn how shady the Assistant Manger can be.

When she's happy she is drunk on the job. When she's not she says no breaks for anyone and if you are caught standing around or eating you are fired...So the company policy we signed is void when you are PO Asst. Manager?.

I recall one day we worked 16 hours with no breaks and were starving. Working from 6am-10pm and not getting a break is disaster. When she got mad about something miniscule she yelled NO FOOD TODAY. The Executive Chef then proceeded to throw away all the food left over from a lunch banquet.

Now the economy is bad but there are things I just don't tolerate and abuse like that doesn't go without being heard of when I'm around.

I spoke to the Catering Manager..extremely fun and wonderful boss once she gets to know you. Deanna you were awesome!. I informed her that everyone was walking off the job and that the assistant manager would have to explain why there was noone to setup for a major event that night, break it down the next day, and then setup another major function the following day.

Sure a temp agency like MACK Hospitality could be hired and things could get done but I was holding the trump card (Corporate Management) I was a quick phone call away from the department you report abuse. I didn't tell anyone this but if they insisted on not feeding us. I would of reported it to the Corporation and they would have alot of explaining to do.

Now please keep in mind at this point Deanna is not to blame as it is not her call. She is starving with the rest of us. Everyone does infact walk off the job save the work release people. The General Manager notices this asks whats going on. Explain = food
Mike is a good manager. Probly also knew we could technicly get them some big fines for breaking the company policy. Whether its by law or corporate law. You can't hold the name of Centerplate and easily get away with such abuse to employees. I'm not saying Centerplate is Angelic and Pure as I only worked under their name for a week.

I just know that as it is bad when the Assistant Manger is drunk at a function she is suppose to be Managing.

Though she can be nice she is a wicked as she is nice. Other than the no breaks no food incident. I liked her on a whole. She did more than manage and she did infact help move tables and set tables and assist with large events.
