We brought the camper and discovered that some parts were broken not working or missing, they apologized and said they would go right over the camper and fix everything, yet, firstly they wanted to charge us for repairs to the brand new camper and we said it is new you sold it to us in this condition.

Firstly many parts were not covered by warranty and we said I brought it new I did not break it or lose the product or made it missing... so they kept it for the next 2 and a half months giving us reports of the progress. So we got a message it was all fixed and repaired. We lost the summer and remember this is a brand new camper and we had to store it in the shop to be fully fixed.

As an example, it took the general manager 3 weeks to authorise a piece of floor stripping to cover the linoleum cut in the slide-out and this we were told once he authorizes it we can collect. We were told the wallpaper has been replaced where it had separated the job completed. The sola power cover had been replaced since we told them back in June.

Let me stop here, we were told many things and when we got it, we noticed that the wallpaper was never replaced still hanging and dirty as it was when we left it. So I said look at the photo on my phone, she backed tracked and tried to tell me, the glue must not have stuck.

The solar panel cover was never replaced either, her excuse was we don't have it in stock so I will send it in the post next week, we are into November now... nothing in the mail.

A clip broke on my brand new sway bars they put on our truck I was told this happens a lot they did not replace that either, saying this is not covered by warranty being brand new and installed by them, I was told we know you reversed your car with the level riders on, so we will charge you 100 per hour for the mechanic and 30 for the part. I said no way this is extortion you said it will be fixed, they refused to fix their own product unless I paid them but I went to buy the clip and they wanted to charge me $13.00 I asked if it is dangerous to drive home without the level riders and I was told to not put them on and tow it just by the hitch. I pointed out where the hitch bar bracket was loose and could they fix it, meaning straighten it they refused unless I paid them.

On my way home towing the camper started swinging at the back and my car started doing the same at 55 miles, I looked up what was going on, it had way to much water in the back, making it unsafe, I had to dump the water. We never put the water in it, it was dangerous. 

We asked them to fix the radio that did not work, I was told this was done, and it was not done when I went home and even the bathroom fan did not work the same as the outside lights did not work... again they refused to fix it saying they did.

The door screen does not lock or close as the latch does not even connect to the door clip. When I told her the wallpaper was not done and showed her she got a tech in to do the job and it held us up but it was not the job they said replaced, it was just a quick dirty glue job. Sneaky 

I contacted them and asked them about refusing to complete the jobs, and who signed off on this? 2 times they have not replied and we still don't have a radio working or sound system, I checked the fuses and found some person had removed the fuse behind the radio, but it is brand new WT. I replaced the fuse. but still, our toilet fan does not work either our solar cover never came in the mail, our broken unuseable brand new level riders sway bars are not fixed.

Here how stupid the response was to fix the table legs that are missing the rubber mounts on the bottom of the table were my wife and I have stubbed our toes, they told me to replace or add the missing part it was not covered by warranty, I said the table has rubber stoppers on one side and the other is missing 2 of them, they said to replace them it is not covered by warranty and the tables come like this from Coleman missing floor table covers... so suck it up on the new table also. it is like a 9 cent product for them to fix a safety hazard of stubbing the toe. We are just sick of battling with Camping World who have tried to run out the camper Warranty and not fix repair or replace it with only minimal work and the other work.

Can you imagine having a brand new camper and grandchildren and summer and could not use it. And being told they have worked on it and basically not really at all, them making out we are stupid or we damage our own camper so it is not covered.

The reason they said it took so long as it had to go through a 4 stage process through each department... almost 3 months are you kidding.

The first month we could not use it as they couldn't get my wife's name right on the title, for the camper and we could not register until they got it right, this took about a month, as the man was not in, or on lunch or vanished. Even when making a trip in person it was a run-around.

We have lost confidence in this Camping World In Calera Alabama, When I first took in my camper, the man told me it was not many fixes and it should take 2 weeks, I go back 2 weeks later and he says well I have not been in for 2 weeks because I was sick and nothing was done, then I came back again and now he has been fired, so we speak to the next person filling this position and we incurred charges for inspections of things that needed fixing or in question... No way I told my wife about it and we would have paid it just to get our camper back, but it was brand new and this did not feel right paying to fix our brand new camper.

So after they had a discussion with the man, they took some charges off, then we went e-mail. and the progress of fixing it from top to bottom....then it changed to a lady she told me about the jobs being completed and waiting on the General Manager, it sounded really good to know they worked on it as told in correspondence, I let her know when we made the appointment to collect and once in person these jobs were not done, I said this makes you look stupid and the general manager a lier also. Her response was they told me they fixed it.

Have you ever been so angry after being lied too, that you just want to take and go and deal with the latter after cooling down? 

Broken missing and not working not a warranty issue, product not covered by warranty, or we know you broke something and you have to pay to fix it... even if you know what happens and they pretend with words it is your problem even if it broke or is missing either way when it is your problem we are not making it our problem is the way Camping world Calera Alabama, treated us like d**k heads.

The Brand new camper so far is like owning a secondhand one. I have tried to fix some things but I am not skilled at everything. The pain torment and stubbing a toe.

Just recently my wife took a week of work for a short vacation, we took our dogs with us, we were very uncomfortable with not being able to use the bathroom fan or lock the dogs behind the open screen door as the latch did not lock at all, so we cut our vacation short and because of my service dog. Breaking out the unlocked door, but we tried to make use of the camper as it is.

We were supposed to be on vacation with our dogs, the next day our service dog we involved in a hit and run the car broke his back and we had to put him down, after 3 days at the animal clinic, if that door would have locked we could have enjoyed the next day on vacation, but we came home, the camper was and still is defective and camping world will not reply back and tell us who is responsible for refusing to fix our camper. I have a dead service dog our boy and yes Camping world is to blame for refusing to fix our Camper after lying to us they fixed it come and get it.
