Cedar Creek Fences David Phillips Stole My Personal Property, Refused to Return Deposit, Breached Contract McKinney, Dallas Texas

Unfortunately, in business we face the good and the bad, and the occassional customer that can't be pleased or helped.  I work so hard to keep this from happening, but sometime there is nothing you can do.  I greatly hope anyone reading this report understands that there are two sides to every story.  It is unfortunate, that there are contractors out there that do lie, cheat and steal to get what they want, and there is also a sad fact that there are also homeowners that do the same thing.

I urge anyone reading this report to take the time to explore our excellent reviews on Google, Angie's List, Yelp and BBB and see that this report makes no sense in comparison to our fantasitc reputation.  Another interesting fact.  This homeowner has made several attempts to write bad reviews on every site possible, including creating fake accounts on these sites.  These other sites eventually remove her reviews after investigation proves what she is doing.

This paticular homeowner is doing her best to stomp her feet and hands trying to get her way, and thinks writing negative things about us is the answer to getting her way.  This homeowner makes complaints about everyone, according to a police Detective in her city.  She has complaints outstanding against city officials, animal control, other contractors, police officers, etc.  She writes negatvie reviews on other sites as well.

Just to be clear, we did not steal any property from this homeowner, in fact, it was just the opposite.  She ended up taking all our tools overnight and stashing them in her garage and refused to give them back.  We finally had to file theft charges against her and it resulted in a police detective eventually having to get a search warrant for her property before we finally got our tools back.  

Here's the bottom line.  This customer hired us and we did exactly what was asked according to our contract and Terms.  Even after this homeowner expressed some of her concerns, I tried very hard to listen and accommodate.  But, she is very confrontational, won't listen to reason and wants things her way or else.  Even the police detective involved in this expressed to me that she is impossible to talk to and won't listen.

Now, I am stuck having to defend myself against this person's defaming, false comments, and false accusations.  I hope everyone reading this see's through this false report.

Cedar Creek Fences damaged my property when they were trying to build a new fence for me and refused to fix or reimburse for damages. Cedar Creek Fences incorrectly installed metal posts for a new fence - the posts are crooked, not set far enough in the ground per industry standards, and are not on my property line. The city inspector FAILED the inspection because it does not meet code. Cedar Creek Fences abandoned the project abruptly (after damaging my property), leaving dangerous tools and equipment laying all over my backyard.

This posed a danger to pets and my elderly neighbors. I moved the tools into my garage overnight for safekeeping. The next day the workers came to my home, trespassed and committed theft. In retaliation, the owner of Cedar Creek Fences falsely accused me of stealing his tools and tried to have me arrested. Dave Phillips, the owner of the company, made off with my $4,000 deposit and $3,200 in property damages and refuses to cooperate and return the deposit and fix the mistakes his workers made with the posts, and refuses to remedy the property damage. Dave Phillips/Cedar Creek Fences is a con artist. I am warning everyone to stay away from this guy, and stay away from this nightmare of a company.
