Mr. Charles Colvin, aka Charles Colvin Lemley, is the ‘owner’ of HOT PROMOTIONAL VACATIONS (HPV) and ONE WEEK VACATIONS (OWV), as well as other company names like Away to Paradise and My Ultimate Getaway.  This is key to his scam.

In my case I received a promotional offer of two round trip airfare tickets, $2,000.00 in one line coupons and 1/2 price off a rental car for one week for the cost of $49.00 registration fee per person.  I received this offer for attending a Travel Expo presentation.  I registered this offer within 30 days of receiving it, as required.

I registered with HPV however received a receipt from OWV! The receipt from OWV stated that ‘each promotional vacation offer received is fulfilled by another provider company and contains it’s own terms & conditions’.  The receipt fails to tell you who the ‘fulfillment company’ is or what their terms and conditions are!
 

ALL of  my correspondence was with HPV. HPV acknowledged my registration stating I was now able to ‘begin planning your airfare’. When I did request my airfare, I was given a airfare quote only! (no mention is ever made of the coupons) When I threatened HPV with legal action, I was contacted by Mr. Colvin who stated that HPV had no record of my payment: that I was complaining to the wrong company.
 

Mr Colvin also stated he would refund my $98.00!  When I questioned why he would refund me since he had ‘no record my payment’ he stated ‘“I’m quite sure you paid the sponsor company...let me know whose name it was under so I may credit your account”.  HE RUNS HIS SCAM UNDER BOTH COMPANIES!

Just to cover all my bases: I contacted OWV and was told ‘go to HPV’s web site to complete an airfare request!  When I explained that HPV refused to fulfill the promise contained in my receipt from OWV, I was not contacted again. I never received a refund from Mr. Colvin.
 

It is definitely a scam in which I will take legal action.  I want to put an end to Mr. Colvin’s scams!!
