On March 6, 2013, I attempted to book a flight from Ottawa, Canada to St-Georges, Grenada from April 4 to April 11. The route was to take me and my family (3 passengers all together) from Ottawa to Port of Spain, Trinidad via West Jet, and from Port of Spain to St-Georges via Liat. The displayed total price per person was $796, 95, which was a great price. When I went to pay for the tickets I was advised that the price has changed and because of this the price per person increased from $796.95 to $815.xx, the total price for all 3 of us became $2426,86, this included the promotion code of $20.00 which we received for our inconvenience.  I proceed to book the flight for the price of $2426,86.

About an hour after booking our flight we received a call from one of the customer representatives who informed me that because CheapOair had to reprint another ticket for the Liat flight, the price was now $2700.00. The representative told me that since this was okay, that he would proceed to book our ticket.  I explained to him that I was not willing to pay for an unadvertised price. The representative persistently explained that the increased price was a solution to a problem found on the CheapOair website. He said that because WestJet and Liat were not affiliate airlines that CheapOair had to reprint a second set of tickets. The second ticket for Liat included fees and taxes which were not considered in the final cost as displayed on the website and on my final and total.  For my inconvenience he offered me a $70.00 rebate.   The rebate would have made the total cost for all three of us to travel approximately $2630.00, this is $242.00 over the original price displayed on the website when I originally booked my tickets. I told the representative that I wanted to cancel the flight tickets and he informed me that he was going to send a cancelation letter to my email address.

After two hours I still did not receive an email confirming the cancellation from the company, I receive however, an email advising me call Cheop0air. When I did, I learned that my tickets were not cancelled, and I had to ask again for the representative to cancel the tickets.

To resolve this issue, I would like for the website to accurately advertise the price of tickets, and to take into consideration any fees related to ticket printing or change of airline. I would also like for the company to provide me and my family the advertised price of $796.95 per person as original advertised on the website.

I look forward to resolution and would like someone from CheapOair company to contact me before the end of the day at 4 pm Eastern Standard Time seeking help from a the Better Business Bureau
