My mortgage company contacted me stating that Comcast is on my credit report, which should be impossible since I have an account with them and it is paid every month. I have contacted Comcast over ten times asking for a letter from their company stating I do not have a past due balance. All employees that I spoke with stated that I did not have a balance and they were unsure of how this happened; they also stated that they would contact me back so I could have a letter stating that balance did not belong to me. The following Comcast workers and ID #'s I spoke with: 6/11/2010 - Monell: OSR-S97; 6/12/2010 - SR97; 6/14/2010 - OFR-LCL; 6/18/2010 - Mon-42L; 6/25/2010 - NCC-00M; 6/26/2010 - Lisa Collections Dept: OSR-AAF; 6/27/2010 - Natasha: 007; 6/28/2010 - PHLD00; 6/29/2010 - #84; 7/3/2010 - Carl: 3W4; 7/3/2010 James (manager) -1y6; 7/6/2010 - Alton: E80. The only employees that even tried to help me were Carl (3W4) and Alton (E80). This company is a disgrace!

Thanks for responding since I posted this complaint I have called Comcast seven more times. I just do not know what to do at this point I am being forced to cancel my service with this company and have never go back with them. I just do not understand why the employees that I spoke with can not help me. The advice I was given today from a manager at Comcast "Show your Comcast bill to the mortgage company and that will prove that you do not have a balance." I am going to file suit against the company and every employee I spoke with. THEY ARE A DISGRACE

I'm a comcast customer service agent as well. I'll be absolutely frank with you. I speak to customers with your issue at least twice a day out of the 8 hours I spend on those lovely phones. The most we can do is enter a escalation ticket which only gets looked at %5 of time by our collections dept. But to be honest with you, whenever comcast shows up on your credit report, 99.9% of the time there is absolutely nothing we can do. The company even tells us to tell you its out of our hands and to just dispute with collections agency. Calling comcast is really just a waste if your time.

I agree with your analysis of Comcast; they charge outrageous fees for basic cable. I pay over $74.00 a month for just basic cable; no digitial cable, no premium channels, no HD, and no "On Demand" are included at this ridiculous price. I live in an apartment building, and I personally overheard the manager of this complex stating that "his bosses" want all of the tenants to subscribe to Comcast. Evidently, they don't want the tenants to have a choice for their TV programming. The management "highly discourages" tenants from having "Dish Network" or Direct TV." I suspect that the manager and the owners of this apartment complex are getting some sort of "kickback" for every new tenant who subscribes to Comcast.
