I wrote a letter to commenity bank to close my account. But they didnt close it. They suspended my credit card instead. And they claimed that I petitioned for bankruptcy. But i didnt. I am honest. They suspended my account and petitioned for bankrupcty illegally without my permission and knowledge. They tricked me. And I always paid on time. You should close it down. The bank run scams.

I had $2,300 balance . They have no right to suspend . I didn't use the card for a month. And I never petitioned for bankruptcy! I am honest. I required it to be closed because I don't shop online anymore.

First of all why did you want the card closed? When you did request it closed was the balance at $0? This is important because unless it is $0 it can NOT be closed. Yes they can "suspend" it for new charges but until it is $0 you are 100% responsible for the balance under the same terms you agreed to.
As for the Bankruptcy, no bank (at least in the US) can file a Petition and force you into Bankruptcy. So what's the real story here.
