corey clair real estate investors corey clair NEEDED A CONTRACTOR AFTER THIS CONTRACTOR new orleans, Louisiana

    Heard about him/this company through a friend and was very disappointed. We recieved and estimate from him and was very pleased with his numbers but shortly thereafter we recieved a second estimate from this company with an increase.it wasnt a big hike and he explained the difference so we werent too worried. BUT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUR FIRST RED FLAG. but we continued and signed the contract. We were told he had a crew and the work would take 6-8 weeks.    

    The work begin the first week of September and it really was going fast and well but once we got to our first inspection the work slowed down considerably. There was no crew. when questioned about the time line MR. Clair was rude and made several broken promises with the dead line. Our home went over budget and took double the time he promised. When we finally were tired enough to terminate the contract and gave him the two weeks notice the house was suddenly completed but with verry poor workmanship and unprofessionalism. the contractor was rude and very aggrogant towards women. he often yelled during conversations about the home and hung up in the middle of a conversation.

     Once the house was completed the water was not hot and water leaked from several places in and outside of the home. he was notified of this the day we moved and repeatedly ignores us but called and left a voicemail about putting us in jail for theft for withholding his final payment. we agreed to pay his final payment but he has refused to turn over our keys to our home and our permits. But again is arrogance steps in and hes attempting to threaten us into paying him without our issues being resolved.
