creditreport.com creditreport.com possible job opening scam Internet

I also ran into this.  I applied for a job though indeed.com I think.  I received a promising email back (see below).  After completing the online screening I was required to create an account with creditreport.com and send them the information for my credit score.  I found it suspicious so checked online and found a similar story on ripoffreport.com.  I emailed back to the sender asking for clarification but haven't heard anything yet.  I have a strong suspicion that the whole thing is a scam, especially since the pay seems very high for an office clerk position.  Indeed.com is fine but be suspicious of any of the following:
