Dept. Of Legal Affairs & Investigation Claimed I comiited money laundering by not accepting a bank pay day loan. I filed, but did not compete the process, and not dseposit was ever made to my checking account! Canoga Park, California

I was contacted at 12:25 p.m. ESTn by voice message on my cell phone, tellinng me to immediately call this # 818-337-3042, as I was in a problem area finacially. Upon calling, I was speaking to a woman with a decided fireign (Indian) accent.. She claimed to be from the "Department of Legal Affairs and Investigation", and had claimed I had committed fraud and money laundering asgainst pay day copanies by applying for a pay day loan in December.I did apply, but cancelled the proceedings for a loan of $450.00 I NEVER received a direct deposit into my checking account! And have statements to back up my assertion.

I was told not to interrupt her, and was advised to call my attorney, that I would receive confiramtion of this action within 24 hours ( on, Saturday, 01/14/12 I did not receive any letter). Was told that a "marshall" would be visiting me on Monday, January 15th, 2012, to issue a summons to appear in court (Funny I believe all U.S. and New York State courts on closed on Monsay as to the Martin Luther King Holiday!) Was advised that I would need to surrender my passport (I have none), and would have my New York State Drivers Loicense suspended for six (6) months. Then she closed by offering me "Good Luck,Joseph". I researched the 818-337-3042 telephone number, found it is a cellular number, In Canoga Park, Califirina. There was NO BUSINESS LISTING!! When you call this number, a voice message ststes this is the Department of Legal Affairs and Investigation, that the mail box is filled, and to call back later.
