I order a sample bottle of Akai berry from Diet Max. After I got the product their rep called me 5 times in the next week if I wanted to order a months supply. My answer was a clear NO.  They went ahead and shipped the item and charged my credit card. I then noticed that I was charged by another company from the same city El Tecal by the name of "Profit Vault" for some other charges. When I called Diet Max to cancelled they gave me the run around and hung up on me. But before they did I asked them about Profit Vault and she replied that it is a different company but she had the phone number.  It made me suspicious that both the cos are working together to rip off the consumer.  If you google "diet max" and http://www.ripoffreport.com and enter diet max you will find a bunch of people having the same problem with the scam.  This company has to be shut down before they do more damage to the public. I tried talking to a lady at Diet max with the credit card rep and she was giving me the run around and saying she cannot hear me although the rep from the credit card could hear me clearly. Best way to stop this scam is to tell your credit card company to block all further payments to this co and initiate a request for refund.  I hope the authorities can do something.

Another good way to stop this scam...

AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

...is to investigate and do an online search before giving credit/debit card or bank information out online.

For example...if you google Diet Max scam or fraud or complaints etc before leaving any information on their website, it would save you some hassle.

It is much easier that way..then waiting until after you are charged and have to worry about blocking your card and closing accounts etc.

The FIRST red flag is any "free" offer. The second red flag is anything to do with "diet". The third red flag is anything to do with Acai Berries. How many red flags does someone need before they use common sense and caution with their accounts?

If you do not give out any of your credit/debit card or bank account information online, you will see that you will not have any of these types of mysterious charges appear on your statements. It seems more often then not that once you submit credit/debit/bank information out, that whether you are aware of it or not, you ARE authorizing someone to charge the account and enroll you into things (even if they imply it is just for S&H)..and it is not always that easy or possible to reverse it.

Don't always depend on the "authorities" to do anything. Sure they on occasion shut these sites down or expose them..but not always will they get you a refund, or prevent you from making the same mistake with another scam company.

I hope your bank will reverse the charges for you and they may due to all the reports about these Acai Berry scams, but many banks will tell you there is nothing they can do since you authorized the payment...even though you do not believe or realize that you did. Some banks will stand behind the customer in these cases.., but many will not. Don't depend on it.
