Stan Goldstein the Sales Rep showed us a Lot for sale (not the one we wanted, said the type we were looking for were unavailable but we could trade in anytime once one became available)

Before and while showing us and before Signing the contract, he told us below lies:

1. No property maintenance fees till we build a home on the lot

2. $150/month golf membership not mandatory if we do not want golf membership (even after building home)

About trading in existing lot for another one, he never mentioned that a trade is only allowed if we are trading it for a lot that is at least $10,000 more in price! we found out when i called him to trade for a lot I found that became available

After signing the contract he clarified that $150/month golf membership is mandatory once house is built even if we dont want to Golf membership

We found out the property maintenance of $100/month are due immediately when we got a statement in the mail asking us to pay $600 for 6 months - when I called Stan he lied saying he already told me about it - if he did tell me about it I would never have bought the lot anyway! why would I pay $100/month for an undeveloped lot, thickly wooded, uneven lot (obviously no cost or mowing since it is thickly wooded with bushes and plants & trees - if we were living there we would be using whatever little amenities were there like the small Gym, but we dont even live there and never will!

Within 30 minutes of seeing the Lot he gave us the contract documents to sign - no time to think about it or consult an attorney to review the Contract  - he said you can think about it about if you don't sign today you have to pay $15,000 extra for golf membership which will be waived if we sign today - assuming he had been saying the truth and not lying/concealing facts we went ahead and signed

I filed a complaint with the BBB and in their response they said they have a 7 day cancellation policy - Stan never even mentioned such a policy, nor did he show us a property condition report or walk us through any checklist - all he did was lie to us and pressure us into a same day sale!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! they use referal rewards like Gold Coin or gift certificates to lure you in (another story altogether) - bait & switch-
