Friday afternoon a man called from 702-273-9848 on his lunch hour and said he found our lost companion bird. He was using the info posted about my bird in craig's list lost n found to appear to have it, For a minute there, we couldn't be happier.

He said he wouldn't take the $1,000.00 reward even after we insisted, but needed $100.00 sent by western union to his wife for a puppy to bait n switch on his son before school was out to avoid breaking his son's heart.

Meanwhile his friend at 714-488-4610 would bring our bird since he was coming to town on business that day anyway.  We believe he was also his friend who we talk to and his mentioned wife who we never talk to but was supposedly involved in the works.

The whole attempted con job was complex within the above summery and wasted most of ours and no doubt his day, but the bottom line is, aside from the let down, we didn't get robbed of any money. Just our precious time better spent searching for our beloved pet.
