This is written as a warning to all persons who are
considering employment with Electrical Environmental Systems (EES). As a former
employee of the company, I believe it is necessary to inform the potential
employee of my experience with the company, and write an employee beware
article.

My employment with Electrical Environmental Systems (EES) was
based on what is legally termed as implied contract. All terms of
employment was verbally discussed and agreed to via a handshake. The terms of
employment included a family inititive; you were welcomed and part of the
family business. Thus, there is no written policy, company handbook, or any
other type of written material detailing company rules. All rules are learn as
you go and usually, all learning is done the hard way, by making mistakes.

The owner of Electrical Environmental Systems has a peaceful, back-stabbing demeanor.  He is
racist and a sexist; he has confessed he would never hire any other race other
than white male, for the reason of not wanting to put up with the political
ramifications. His wife and son are currently is employed by the company, and
has commented on how he doesnt want either of them employed. He has also
commented on his brothers excessive habits on how his brother is as much of a
liability as he is an asset. His nephew is also employed, and is probably the
hardest working person there, however, the owner has expressed on how his
nephew is not an asset.

He preaches on the investment of his employees, by financing their tools, equipment, and training, and expects a return on his investments. He did this with me, providing me with tools, training, and a service van. My experience, skills, and education expanded as a result of the owners
investment.

However, the owner has little patience for mistakes, and is not a very good communicator. I made several mistakes, and was hardly reprimanded for them. The owner did not recognize the good things that I had accomplished for him.

At times, I needed additional tools to make my job easier, safer, and more efficient. I requested the owner for these tools on multiple occasions, but was ignored, so it resulted in me purchasing the tools with my personal money. I was later re-imbursed for the tools after a reprimand.

The owner takes care of all communications between the company and customers, and at times, if you are sent on a job to repair a system that has been a chronic issue, you can be sent on the job blind, not knowing what youre supposed to do, and usually the owner deliberately makes
communication with him unavailable for the job.

The owner also made additional promises of assistance to me, which could also be legally termed as expressed / implied promise of good faith and fair dealing.

At times when a job requires teamwork, the owners brother, (also a technician), usually takes a lead role. Often times, the owners brother is unforgiving of others, and takes all teamwork jobs into his own hands, usually leaving anyone else to basically stand there and watch him work. Anytime you can out-do the owners brother is when you possess a skill or trait which he lacks. The owners brother has a reputation of only working 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, takes incredible liberties with the company resources, and has chased away all employees hired with the company prior to myself.

So, in YOUR interests, EMPLOYEE BEWARE! If you decide to work for Electrical Enviornmental Systems, document everything done with regards to you; tools, investments, training,
reprimands, conflicts, betrayals! If you are like me who was wrongfully terminated, and feel it was unjust, you may want to consider taking your documented incidents to either a personal injury or employment law attorney, and investigate if you have a case to pursue damages you have incurred or are expecting to incur as a result of your termination.
