Face To Face Prime Time Consulting Inc., Earning "points" for "scholarship" for College Kittredge, Colorado

Some kid showed up at my dorm claiming that he was selling magazines in order to earn points for a college scholarship, for which he was in 3rd place. Said that he earns even extra points when you order Highlights magazines to go to a hospital for little kids who will then send a thank you card, etc. etc.

I really should have known when he said he preferred cash, but that checks were fine too.

Although the receipt states that you may cancel the transaction in writing before the 3rd day after the transaction, I had a feeling that was not very legitimate either once I had read several reports online (after my boyfriend convinced me that it sounded too fishy.)

If you fall victim to this situation because you're trying to be a good person and help a kid out(!) - make sure to cancel the check through your bank IMMEDIATELY.
