Fantastic Sams Hair Salon They overlapped bleach & left it on my head. Now half of my very long hair has broken off & fallen off. bridgeville, Pennsylvania

So, I went into Fantastic Sams only to get my roots retouched. I would normally never go to a place like this if I were getting a more detailed service done, however, I figured a root retouch was hair 101. The stylist overlapped the bleach & left it on too long. In fact, some of it she never rinsed out at all & I had to go home & rewash my hair. When she was combing & drying my hair at the salon alot of hair was coming out of my head & she said with bleach shedding is normal. She assured me that my hair was in good condition & said several times that I must take very good care of my hair. When I left she said that some of my hair on the sides felt a little gummy & to just leave it alone for awhile. She didn't flat iron my hair or do anything to smooth it out so when I left I looked like a disaster. For weeks to come handfuls of hair kept coming out of my head when I would comb it. I wrote Fantastic Sams corporate & they paired me up with a woman who was supposed to fix my situation. They refunded my $ & said they would give me a conditioning treatment one a week for one month & 3 free trims. As time went on, because of all the hair that fell out where the bleach was not rinsed off, it looks like someone took scissors to the back of my hair & cut it to be about an inch long. I spent a fortune on hair repair products & when I told FS they said they could not refund $ spent on products that I purchased from other salons but that they would give me some more products b/c I would continue to need them. I inquired about extensions & they said they would give me clip-ins & scheduled me an appt. When I arrived to the appt they said that they were not going to give me the clip-in extensions b/c they didn't think they would be good for my hair & they gave me one tub of conditioner to take home. Hardly comparable to the $300 I spent in products to fix the disaster they created. In fact, the owner made it sound like she was doing me a favor by giving me anything at all. My hair is past half way down my back & it will be years before it is even close to back to the way it was. If the stylist would have just said that she wasn't qualified to work with bleach it would have saved me alot of trouble & tears.

Is there anything that protects customers from such a horrible disaster & makes it so the salon can't just wash their hands of it & pass off the blame? My hair is ruined & it will be for quit sometime. The owner says the stylist noted that my hair was already damaged. That's funny b/c the entire time she did my hair she told me what great condition it was in. Also, If it was in that bad of shape isn't it the stylist responsibility to inform you of that & not apply any chemicals??!! The owner also suggested that maybe they are not to blame. It's funny though that all my hair broke off right where the stylist didn't rinse all the bleach. The owner said that since I accepted the refund on the hair service that was like saying I was satisfied with the steps they were taking to rectify the situation. My hair was FALLING OUT!! Why wouldn't I accept the refund?? & why on earth would they think that b/c of that I was satisfied when my hair was still falling out & it looks like someone shaved the back of my head?? NOTHING like this has ever happened to my hair & all the people I know that do hair said they have never seen anything like this happen. All in all, I am missing a half a head of great, long, thick hair b/c of someones lack of expertise & carelessness & all I got in return was a tub of $15 conditioner. Does anyone have any suggestions??
