Like others, I was contacted about a government program that had real credentials to it. I was then told I was approved for one of the loan modifications. Went through a bunch of underwriting processes and had to send pay stubs, etc. Had to pay up front too, was just told 90 days later that I was denied without any formal letter or anything. When I asked about speaking to someone about it, I was shuffled to multiple people with no resolution.
