Forsyth county 911 dispatcher and the Forsyth County Sheriffs Dept is steering business to certain towers and violating the consumers rights by forcing consumers to take a county rotation tow truck even thou other cheaper tow companies are on scene first. They use the excuse that they need their towers to pick up accidents in order to quickly clear traffic but in fact are actually holding up traffic longer by denying other tow companies who are already on location of the accident to pick up .
Today We requested our tow company to pick up a wreck and it was already hooked on our car at wreck site proir to officers arrival and when Forsyth Sheriff dept arrived they forced us to unhook our chosen tow truck company and use a county rotation truck at greater expense.Then the Forsyth Officer actually held up traffic for an addition 30 min on a busy hwy during morning traffic risking the publics safety even further. waiting on another towing to come from 15-20 miles away. Whos going to be responsible for additional wrecks by leaving accidents on hwy longer then they had to.
What if it was to cause a fatality by rubberneckers. It Would be the Sheriff dept fault for additionally delay in clearing the accident .
I believe That Forsyth County Sheriff Dept needs to train officers and dispatchers to take consumers rights and forsyth county residence into consideration when they are forcing them against their Wishes into a county tow even when we are not causing a traffic hazard.In fact we would have actually improved the situation by using our own tower already on location . Some of us Consumers have tow contracts with Road America and AAA and get free tows since our liablity insurance that doesnt cover the cost of county towers expenses.
Why would Forsyth County Sheriffs Dept not want the first tow truck on scene to clear tow asap. They are not thinking about Safety they are steering business which should be illegal.

I have not gone through the process in this market area, but have helped several towing companies with permiting, marketing and such.
Virtually every Police department HAS GOT TO do this.
Belive it or not its about safety and fairness.
A towing company has to apply to be on rotation, the Police do back ground on the owners and business to insure Insurance and training standards are met.
Next the rotation schedule will be followed to the letter, or you get other towing companies not properly equeped, trained and so on "Scooping".
The "Scoop" atempted by your chosen towing company is exactly the sort of stupidity that leads to fist fights, pooely trained and dangerous towing companies at accident scenes, in ability of the Police to get Tow Trucks at critical times and other stupid stuff.
All drama you local Police will not tolerate,
Guess what if they try it too often they will get banned, fined, and punished in other ways, like removal from the rotation or blocked from goining the rotation.
Where I live there are Drivers that move with the Rotation from Company to Company so service levels can be met.
