In it’s mission statement it includes such statements as “being the most valuable source of parenting information and a must-read resource for families.”  & “Forum offers its readers the best in community journalism “

But evidently food sanitation and health – leading to possible food posioning-  is not considered valuable information –even when their own reporters shows up for restaurant events  of offenders (see rip off report “Ripoff Report | Crystal Bay Caterers Complaint Review Boca Raton, Florida

Sort of like sending a reporter to a carnival in town, but missed the fact that all the employees are registered child sex offenders.  But hey, I bet their reporters would identified the most fun ride for the kids.

The press has come under a lot of criticism for not doing real journalism anymore, but puff pieces to sell add space and ratings.  It appears this observation is justified; it took me literally 15 seconds to find the health report on Crystal Bay on the internet. But to be fair, that was due to a real newspaper - Tallahassee Democrat.

It is also why no one reads newspapers anymore, informed consumers have to depend on web sites like this one – The Ripoff Report to get real consumer related information anymore.

Of course, what is different about the Ripoff Report and this newspaper company (besides, many times, taking advertising money from companies it is suppose to be reporting on?), is that the Ripoff Report provides an easy forum to respond on how they could miss something like this, but they were good enough to catch that hard hitting report on “Pickleball, a racket sport for players of all ages, spreading across South Florida”

So Forum Publishing Group – Why did you miss a story that evidently a newspaper that is in North Florida - Tallahassee Democrat - could find and report on?  Maybe because reporters at the Tallahassee Democrat do not get invitations to fun Tailgate parties?
