Franciscan St. Margaret Hospital health care staff of doctors, nurses, therapist, etc., do not demonstrate hand washing once they enter a patient's room to provide care.  They have gloves, mask, in the hallway outside the room, therefore, staff put gloves on while entering room.

Their doctors have been seen walking into a patient's room, and do not wash their hands, or use gloves before touching the patient.  They don't use liquid hand sanitizer either.  They use scopes on patients and don't clean it either. 

The hospital's doctors, nurses, therapist, etc., do not wash their hands with soap and water after they finish with the patient prior to leaving patient's room. When they drop IV tubes on the floor, they pick it up and  use it on the patient.

A patient may be admitted to their hospital without disease, but catch a disease while there due to poor sanitation, hand washing, and  ot following posted precaustion on patient's door.  They have been seen to not use gowns, mask either. 

Some of their patients were exposed to (MRSA) Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection in their Cardiac ICU back in April 2016.  I know this because my love one caught the disease while in their intensive care unit. 

The hospital's ICU staff, spread MRSA, because they were not following universal precautions. This is a very difficult disease to destroy and the patient has to receive  several antibiotics for days, weeks, and perhaps months in hope to destroy it.  

The anibiotics used to fight MRSA, cost the patient and Medicare, Medicaid, insurance hundreds, thousands of dollars.  The hospital profits from pharmacy medicines, IV equiment and materials it uses to administer the antibiotic drugs. 

The hospital also profits when their patients contact MRSA, in that it extends their stay for treatment.  It can't be treated with pills at home.  MRSA is contagious and life threatening.The hsitory of having MRSA follows the patient from one health care facility to another.

It is unfair that patients have to endure the illness, treatments for MRSA, and their already compromised health that led them to the hospital.  MRSA is a hospital acquired disease that their staff have little concern for prevention of spead of this disease.

When this matter of MRSA was reported to the hosital guest services via their website, they responded that they investigated and found no wrong doings.  They don't care about their patients, and are more concerned with getting paid for their negligent health care services.

The hospital did not mail out a survey after my love one was discharged, because they knew it caused a lot of injury, damages that was not patient's health isse upon admission.

This matter has been reported to Medicare and Indiana health dept. for investigations.
