This is a report on the company and their policies. Glad I Know is an information service. They make money selling your personal information to anyone willing to pay. Often times this information is very personal and provides your name and home address, which for some people who may be the victims of stalkers or harassment, is frightening. The problem with this company and the reason they have ONLY negative reviews, is the way they handle their OPT OUT policies. 

They don't make it easy, they require you to send them specific url, links and actual code from the search, in order for them to remove your personal data. The problem is, THEY DONT REMOVE IT. You jump through hoops, you follow their instructions, you wait patiently and its never removed. Then you send emails asking for status and they never respond again. The canned answer is that they do not have to remove anything, but will do so as a courtesy. Problem is, it's not a courtesy because they wont remove it. So, BBB complaints, Consumer Affair complaints, Attorney General complaints, Yelp and Google reviews, etc. are all you can do until someone, maybe me, files a class action suit to verify if they are really permitted to keep up information after you request for an OPT OUT or if they must take it down once you comply with the instructions of the OPT OUT.

I take my privacy very seriously, so at some point I am going to have to get a bit more pro active, maybe contact the landlord of their building at 12121 Wilshire Blvd STE 207, LA CA and see if a little pressure on that side will get them to remove my information. It only takes one to start the ball rolling and I am at the end of my rope with this company. All phone numbers are phony and dead ends. However, the owners name is Jeffrey T Briggs.
