I purchased 4-GoodYear Eagle GT Tires on 9/29/2011 and on 10-16-2011 I faxed and mailed the same day a copy of my proof of purchase and the four promotion rebate forms to get my rebate of $160.00. I have received letters from GoodYear on 12/9/2011 stating that I did not send in a copy of my invoice. I spoke with Vicki on 12/22/2011 and she gave me her direct fax 513-943-6295 and ask me to resend my receipt and she will process my claim.

On 12/28/2011 I received another letter with all of my rebate promotion  forms and a letter stating I did not send in my proof of purchase, I called to speak with Vicki again and was told that it beaning process and I should receive a check with in 6-8 wks. I received a check today 01/17/2012 on the day the rebate should be posted marked by 01/17/2012. My check was not for $160.00 as stated on GoodYears rebate promotion. My check was for $40.00. I called the company to inquire about receiving only $40.00 and no answer. This company and the rebate it is offering is a lie and the auto care shop even told me to send in for the rebate, because the were told that GoodYear is giving out rebates. The terms and conditions are of deception and false advertisement. I want my full rebate of $160.00

Aaahhh, good point

I used a Goodyear card when I got my full rebate 2 years ago. As Ashley says, look over what you bought and how you paid against the exact terms on the documents.

It could be the salesman gave you misinformation at point of sale, rather than Goodyear or the rebate management firm making the error.

Actually

I forgot to look at your tires. Is this the same promotion you used?

If so, it only says you are entitled to a $40 rebate on eagle GT tires, $80 if you paid with a goodyear credit card. To get the $160 rebate you would have to buy:

Assurance TripleTred All-Season
Assurance cs TripleTred All-Season
Eagle F1 SuperCar EMT
Eagle F1 SuperCar
Eagle F1 SuperCar G:2
Eagle F1 SuperCar G:2 ROF
Wrangler SilentArmor

with your goodyear credit card. Unless you can show different rebate terms, $40 is all you are entitled to.

Do you have a copy

of the original rebate forms? Everything I see on the internet says you needed to pay with the tires using a goodyear credit card to get the $160 rebate otherwise the maximum rebate is $80. Either way, they owe you another 40.

2 years ago I got my full rebate from them, so a scam it isn't, or at least wasn't. A big screw-up at their end most likely it is.
You're gonna have to get insistent and tenacious with them. Go to the corporate executive level if need be.
