I have purchased a unit in a condo building in Toronto, Ontario. When I first went for a visit, the place was gorgeous. Well maintained and i was very pleased. I then put in an offer $5000 over asking price WITH conditions of:

-PROFESSIONAL CLEANING

As I was very excited for the first purchase, I wanted to gather all my belongings from my previous location.

As I was in the process during the first day, I found hair in the fridge, hair in the sink holes, meat particles in the oven, dust everywhere and brown stains on the toilet.

I was hoping to go into a clean unit and NOT find any meat particles as I am a vegetarian. I was truly disgusted and disappointed.

I then contacted my agent to contact the sellers agent and he said

“I just got your message on the phone regarding the cleaning issue. I was told by the seller the seller had the cleaning done at the best they could. Generally speaking, no cleaning cannot be done to everybody's satisfaction. If you buyer thinks it is required to do more to his perfect satisfaction, it is up to him. The seller did not guarantee the perfection of it or to the buyer's satisfaction.”

In the contact, it was clearly stated “cleaning from professionals” not “cleaning at the best they could”

My agent was nice enough to have cleaners come to my unit out of his pocket to clean the disgusting unit. The bill was $169.50. We sent the bill to the agent and he laughed and said that the previous owners would pay half.

I then did more research and the agent is relatives of the sellers. This all makes sense on why he is defending them. Unfortunately, it had to end this way of my first home. To anyone selling or buying a home in Toronto, be aware of Man Kim and his dishonest services. My lawyer has filed a case with the small claims court. Attached is some pictures.

No one deserves to be treated like this.
