I am very disappointed with HomEq Servicing. After complying with everything that was asked of us, inlcuding teaching their "specialist" how to calculate income, and waiting 8 months, we are being told that we failed the HAMP Net Present Value Test and have been denied assistance.
When asked what this test was, NO ONE could tell us. 13 days later, we recieved another invitation to PARTCIPATE in the HAMP. We called and were on hold for 20 minutes only to be told that they had no idea why we received the 2nd letter, no, they could not tell us what the test was that we failed and no, they could not offer any other alternative. Their suggestion was to offer the property for sale, as this was in the best interest of the LENDER.
I don't know if it is just me but the competence level is just not where I would expect it to be much less the customer service. A big start toward improvement would be basic courtesy and listening skills.
We are going to write to Washington and tell them how dismally the system has failed. We are also going to request that the bail out money that was ear marked for our loan mod be distributed to us since it is our tax dollars that are paying for it.
