08/18/15 Was told to do a diagnostic, due to sluggish running and service engine light was on. They diagnosed an O2 sensor, which was installed and paid $189.00 (was told labor is $88/hr.). This did NOT fix the sluggish poor performance.

Took it back. They kept it overnight. Jeff, Manager, called me back, stating it was the catalytic converter going out. He proceeded to tell me it'd cost $1,465.00 (labor $88/hr.) to install a full catalytic converter assembly. I told him I'd think about it, shop around.

After researching/pricing catalytic converters (seeing some selling for about $300.00), another shop found a much cheaper one and installed it at $65.00/hr labor rate. They advised that the new O2 sensor, which was installed by Honest-1, had been installed poorly, laying up against the manifold and melting the coupler on it. It was replaced. It was given to me.

I took it and showed it to Jeff, Manager, at Honest-1. All he said was that it was still good, not harmed inside and if I had any other issues with O2 sensors, he'd be happy to install it. Totally unacceptable answer. I was not impressed with his response, believing it was unprofessional. I will not be returning or recommending this Honest-1 auto repair store.

Why didn't he offer a refund on the O2 sensor? I still have this O2 sensor, have shown pictures of it on Facebook. No one wants it. I do believe I should have been given a refund, being more then happy to give him this sensor back.
