Jerome Almon, CEO of ARTWIAF Murdercap Records He had quite the story of how he was going to catapult me to stardom: Times Square Billboards, interviews with networks. All for $250 down payment on $1000 investment on $100,000 publicity. All lies. He demanded money last Friday to be good for this week and then proceeded to "push it all back" because I "wasn't ready" (when he sure thought I was ready when he was demanding my down payment!). Now he won't even answer his phone. North Carolina Internet

I saw Jerome Almon's "catapult to stardom" posts on LinkedIn last week.  It all sounded really good: $100,000 publicity, Times Square Billboards, interviews with networks...  so I submitted.

He contacted me saying that my work was "impressive" and he offered me "special deal" since he "believed" in me: $250 down payment on $1000 investment on $100,000 publicity!  Who can say no to that?

He demanded the down payment on Friday in order to be "good to go" for this week, which was imperative since the media all tied into the Superbowl and it had to be done this week!  I sent him the money on Friday, talked to him all weekend about the idea of the video, the interview (he kept saying he'd send the script but never did), etc.  I had Googled him as well last week but, when a friend forwarded me his first Ripoff Report, it had to have posted the day after I searched for his scams.  This was on Sunday.  The interview was set for Tuesday (yesterday) so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, since he was still talking to me after getting my money.  Still talking like it was all legit.  Until Monday night.

At 530pm Monday he texted me that he would email details for the interview on Tuesday...  I have other things to do on Tuesday so I'm politely asking for my details all day.  All day.  Then at 930pm he sends an email that says "You're not ready for such an interview, I have to come out to LA and school you on it..." when we've been talking ALL weekend about the interview and video, I had read everything he sent in addition to watching "Basic Instinct" and "Fatal Attraction" when he suggested it to be ready for my role (Tom Brady's ex-girlfriend), and he DEMANDED my down payment on Friday so I would be good to go for Tuesday.  Then it all started falling apart.

He said I was the reason - the one who had sent him money when he demanded it, sat on the phone for hours with him, going above and beyond research in order to be ready for this week.  The one who had actually followed through on my end of the contract.  He has yet to follow through on a single thing stated in the contract, which he didn't even sign because "that will be taken care of."  I guess that's what all professionals say when they're trying to navigate around a contract that they would have to follow through on, huh?

Tuesday morning he reniggs on the whole entire contract.  I say I no longer want to work with him, since he has not produced any evidence of anything that he said was going to happen this week (Times Square Billboard and FOX interview were the first two things and they both have not manifested).  He could have just given me my money back and this report might not have been written.  Instead, he just doesn't answer his phone, to the point where I post on his new LinkedIn posts (saying the exact same thing that they said last week when this week was the week it was all supposed to start), and he actually tries to say that he's going to sue me?  Really?  For what?  Not letting him take advantage of any more artists' dreams?

Today he picked up the phone and didn't say anything for five minutes, then picked up and hung up, then just wouldn't answer anymore.  Really professional, huh?

This guy is as shady as they come; so manipulative, so guilt-driven (trying to make it like it's you when it's him not following through), so wrong.  He deserves to be prosecuted.

He even tried to incinuate that I was on drugs, when he's the one ruining his reputation for $250.  All I did was believe him and give him a down payment that I now want back since he delivered no services as contracted, and now he's trying to paint me out to be the bad guy.  Stay away from this low life scammer!!!
