JMZ Property Manangement JMZ Management Don't Rent From This Company!!!!! Novi Michigan

 I began renting from JMZ Property Management in February of 2014. I didn't do any research on the company before entering my lease agreement. Let's just say I saw troublevfrom my move in. When I got keys to home and went and took a good look inside the stove was greasy and cooked in. The upstairs bathroom toilet was running slow. There was no shower pole in the bathroom. There was different color carpet upstairs from downstairs. Lastly there was yard junk in front around condo and in backyard that I cleaned up. They charged me a $250 "cleaning fee" prior to moving in. I looked at condo on lunch break while at work one day so I basically ran through. I also didn't realize the condo didn't have air conditioning. I began complaining about the small things I found wrong and eventually they wee taken care of minus the carpet . There was also a plumbing problem in the upstairs bathroom.where water was pushing out in the hallway. I let them know about the problem and they procrastinated a good month before coming out. They wee really slow in the beginning with fixing things. They got a little better as the two years of my lease went on. We were connected to 8 more condos that JMZ also managed. The neighbors connected to us were loud and ghetto. Fighting, cursing each other out, sometimes 2 and 3 hours during the night. They would wake my children and myself up from sleeping at night. They would play music until wee hours of the morning. I also suspected drug activity in complex but due to the fear of my children and I being safe I didn't report it. Our condo was flooded by a neighbors child clogging up their drains and when the company sent someone out there to unclog their drains we tried to tell them about our water damage in basement but They ignored us. They never sent professionals out to condos. Always someone with no name for their business.

Lastly about 6 months be for end of our lease the bathroom tub upstairs began leaking in bathroom downstairs. I continuosly called and I got brushed off. I was even told that the plumbers without a company name said there was no water dripping. I had to threaten to hold the rent and make a phone video before problem was resolved. Needless to say at the end of my two year lease which was February 29 2016 I was ready to go. I found a nice home also in Warren area and let them know I was moving. They threatened to keep.my deposit for not giving them 20 days notice. They sent me a lease extension. I didn't sign and moved. I cleaned house out. My husband and I and our children. I also hire two men to help . Well needless to say they made up a list of problems with home to keep my $1400 deposit and added on $1100 to that totally $2500. There was nothing new in.condo when I moved in. They charged me $800 for cabinets. Water leaks under cabinet under sink. We let them know about that. How does that equality to $800 worth of cabinets. They lied lied lied. Greedy liars. They said $400 for cleaning.up even though we took about 4 days cleaning up. I knew they were going to try and keep deposit because of the nasty attitude the y had when I told them we wee moving. Also the closet doors kept coming off during artsy. They were doors that rolled. We made work orders for them to put doors back on track. They charged me saying doors were "missing". I assume they remodeled after we left because we go by,complex sometimes after getting kids from school. My neighbors say they remodeled our condo and offered her that one and are remodeling hers also. They should have been coming out throughout two years I lived there to check.on things but They didn't. I had to fight with them constantly. If I had renewed lease I'd still be living in same situation with all the issues they wrote down after I moved.

RENTER's BEWARE!!!!! I just filed small claims court case. They have an F with the BBB. I didn't begin to research them until after I moved in. I knew something wasn't right.
