I received a certificate from the emachines classaction administrator, KCC CLASS ACTION SERVICES, in September 2013. I provided me with a web address,www.emachinesredeem.com, to order up to $365 in electronic equipment or a cash award of somewhat less. Over the following year I made no less than a dozen attempts to redeem my certificate online through the emachinesredeem.com site without ever being able to get through to the cart payment page to complete the order. I sent 2 emails regarding the problem after first telephoning a half dozen times. The phone number listed on the site is only an automated loop that never provides any response or services at all. The emails were never responded to. Eventually on the day prior to the certificate expiration, I discovered the "secret pathway" to get through to the cart and completion of my order. There is no doubt that this was throughly designed to prevent redemption of the certificates. One had to first enter the settlement administrator website, http://classaction.KCCLLC.net/caseinfo.aspx?pas=EMS , then a link inside would take youto the www.emaschinesredeem.com site, but this time you would be sent to the cart and be able to complete the order. But for some reason they still didnt want to fulfill my oder. I received a confirmation and a delivery date for my order only 12 hours later to receive an email that there was something wrong with my certificate payment and that my oder could not be sent. It recommended that I go back into my account and send the payment info again or use my credit card. I was not able to access my account after that. My password was no good and the link provided to reset the password never sent out an email after approx 15 requests.

I followed up this debacle with a very kindly worded letter a week later, the first week of September 2014, asking for direction to deal with the situation. I have not received any response. If you were to add up all of their failed responses to my queries over the period of a year, over 35 times was KCC CLASS ACTION SERVICES, EMACHINESREDEEM.com and emachines.settlement@secondipity.com contacted without any response. This was regarding the inability to acess and redeem my certificate and to fulfill my order after I had discovered the shame.
