I searched thru the internet for attorneys that helped individuals in getting a loan modification. Then a guy named Rick Hendrix called and really sold himself to me telling me he was a pastor, him & his company were very trustworthy & honest.

Rick then said that we needed to show our mortgage company that we could afford to pay them each month he added our mortgage payment and a percentage of our real estate tax & homeowners insurance. Totaling 873.00 each month. He said a percentage of that monthly payment would be going to our mortgage company.

That was the first lie! He then gave us the name of the attorney we would be working with. A Chad Burke! We sent in every document he asked for on several occasions. It was always something, he talked a good talk well they both were. Chad told us we needed to go to the federal court house and file a chapter 7 bankruptcy in order to save our home.

I researched what happens after a chapter 7 is filed and us keeping our home. Well a chapter 7 would not save our home according to Missouri’s law. It was a temporary fix but, in the end we would still lose our home of 21 years. I told chad about the information on a chapter 7 in Missouri.

He said it was what we had to do to save our home. Rick Hendrix sent us the paperwork we was going to need to file this BK per day, we were going at this huge thing alone. We filed it without his help and the information Rick sent us was not everything we needed according to Missouri’s law. Because of all the delays our case was dismissed.

Here we go again still paying Leslie Richards law firm, with us doing all the paperwork ourselves. When we got another foreclosure notice I called Chad and he said “do you have a Missouri Attorney that could help us”. He was done helping us but, still wanted his monthly payments. We stopped paying him after 8 months of payments.

We also had asked him for the paperwork showing any help he had done for us and he said “that usually stays in-house .”  After all this we just had to hire a Missouri Attorney costing us so far 1077.00. I thank God we was able to come up with the money to hire a new attorney. Praying all goes well and our mortgage is forced to give us a loan modification.

This Leslie Richards law firm needs to be shut down! They need to be forced to pay back the money paid to them by there clients that they FAILED to help. This company is a SCAM!! They only care about the money they are making and could careless about their clients and the clients needs. We are filing an attorney misconduct complaint with the state bar of California.
