I wish I has seen the other notices on Ripoff Report before I joined up with them.   I've learned my lesson.   I'll contact the companies on my own if need be.

When I signed up they told me that they were real lawyers and paralegals and would be sending letters on my behalf to the credit companies and that the companies after a time, about a month or two, they would remove the negative items from my credit report.  Even though I asked to see them, they never sent me copies of the letters.  Then just before they drew their monthly payment, I'd get an email saying they sent letters to this or that company.  I really wonder if they are truly paralegals/lawyers or if that too is bogus.

They kept sending me notices that this or that negative credit report was removed so when I went to my credit reports (all 3) to check, they were all still there and not removed at all!

The problem they have now caused is that now all those companies they contacted have added negative remarks on my credit report that were not there before Lexington Law sent those 'letters'.

I have cancelled my account with them - which took about two weeks of constant calls and emails and have instructed my bank to not allow any withdrawals from my account by them.

Amazingly, once it was cancelled, they kept calling and emailing - asking me to contact them so that they could help me with my credit report.   It was like I never was part of their clientele at all.

Perhaps You Could Not Be Helped?

I'll contact the companies on my own if need be.  STOP!!  That's not how it works.  Please don't contact the companies who are reporting your payments as late - you are insuring that your credit score will not recover.

How this works is the company (in this case Lexington Law) contacts the 3 credit reporting agencies in writing to have them remove the late items from your credit score.  In short, they are challenging the accuracy of your report and often the information on your report is wrong.  However, if the information in your report is correct, then there is no one that can repair your credit score.  If the companies leave an additional mark on your report, then it means the debt is validated and going after that item is a waste of time.

I really wonder if they are truly paralegals/lawyers or if that too is bogus.  Nope they are real.

The problem they have now caused is that now all those companies they contacted have added negative remarks on my credit report that were not there before Lexington Law sent those 'letters'.  All they did was confirm the debt.  In other words, you should be relieved that your credit score is correct.  Over 80% of the people in this country have inaccuracies in their credit score.

One of the best Do It Yourself Credit Repair guides is published by Lexington Law.  It is online, free, and teaches you the process of credit repair and how to do it.  I personally have taught severla people how to repair their credit using this DIY guilde and a number have increased their score by 150-200 points, all for the cost of printing the letters and postage.  It is not a guarantee your credit score will increase.  But you can save the cost of something you should do on your own.

Before you start the process of trying to do this yourself, and doing it wrong, please find the DIY guide published by Lexington Law.  Study the guilde, follow the step by step process, and good luck...
