This company Lighting X-Change Company, LLC says the maintenance Director of our Nursing Home order 12 lamps for $500 dollars. They sent us an invoice and we imediately knew it was a scam. Our company cannot order any materials unless by an approved vendor. This company was unknown to us and was not an approved vendor. Our maintenace director employeed for 20years only buys lamps from one company. Contact was made to company and they said it was ordered and we had to pay. Looking at this website, it appears this company had done this to other nursing homes and Maryland Attorney General is looking into this companies scam. Just want to say thanks for having this website. We have warned other Nursing Homes of this tactic.

Yes, they did the same thing to us. However, they were sending it to our maintenance guy's attention for our landlord yet trying to bill us. I knew that we do not pay for our own lightbulbs to the vendors directly and that the landlord does. I got a hold of our maintenance guy to contact them and continually received collection calls and told them we do not pay for our own lightbulbs. Finally, the maintenance guy told me that this was a total scam company. He told me that they will ship lightbulbs that no-one ordered and many times cannot be used. And once they are signed for will send an invoice. Many people will never catch this scam and it is how they stay in business. There are other companies that have done similar things in which the BBB has shut down, such as Commercial Lighting. Now, it is time to report them as well to the BBB as well.
