My parents hired Max Rak off of Kijiji to build a large deck. They paid him tens of thousands of dollars. He insisted on being paid cash. The limited work done was not adequate or to code. He told them he was licensed and insured but was not. He did not obtain a permit. We had to remove and replace all of the work done at a great cost. We are out over $50,000.00 in savings to these problems. English is not my parents first language. This man took advantage of them then ran away from fixing the problems.
If there are other victims out there who have dealt with this individual please contact us. He has multiple phone numbers and is likely in BC now.

This same loser has a history of taking large deposits and not doing all of the work. He sold us a basement development in Edmonton under the name CANRUSS CONSTRUCTION then ran away from finishing it. He hires daily labourers of Kijiji who are hacks and the quality is terrible. After trying to get our money back he ran the company into the ground and there was nothing we could do to ever see a cent of it.
He also claimed to be a reputable distributor/importer of kitchen and bathroom construction materials but do not believe a word he says. All he does is bring in garbage from China and run the same scheme over and over again with new companies every couple years. He is a cheat who has probably had ten or more companies in Canada.
He conned a couple different contractors in Calgary out of a bunch of money as well after us. Run away from dealing with this idiot. Don't let his charm fool you. He will cheat you too.
