MCI Institute of Technology of West Palm Beach florida Occupational Education center. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN LESS THAN A YEAR West Palm Beach Florida

Upon entering the program for Phamacy Technician, I was told that the school had to follow through and assist each student with the certification process (test and state registration is paid for from the tuition). This type of school is also required to assist with externship and job placement.

I started this Pharmacy Technician Program August 26th 2014. I had some issues with being transfered from an Engish speaking teacher to a spanish speaking teacher that I just didn't understand. It showed in my grades. After complaining to the Department of Education I was moved back to an Engish speaking teacher (who is assisting me with bringing up the grades for the two modules I didn't do well in with the other teacher.

Since about October 2014, the students have had to deal with the stresses of the water being turned off, water in the hallways, airconditioning systems going down (and not being repaired), the lack of toiletpaper, hand soap, and papertowel in the restrooms whicih were also no being cleaned and sanitized daily. Garbage piling up in the back of the building were day students go outside to eat.

Slowly adminisration staff and teachers were disappearing. (Hear say was they weren't getting paid) or they were sueing for wages they had not received. The change of staff included the person in charge of externships and job placement. Needless to say I am still going to classes so that I don't lose out on the externship which is required to complete the coarse. The person who took over the position refuses to be available for the evening student during the time period that was originally allocated. This was two days a week until 7pm. Please take note that I started almost a year ago. I for one am beyond frastrated and completely worn out. I have other responsibilities including taking care of my husband and a full time job. My effort was to move into a new career path. With 7 area pharmacys within 5mins of the school and my home I expected it to be fairly easy to do an externship locally. The new person in charge wants to send me much further than I antisipated. She doesn't seem to be willing to establish a working relationship ( which exists with the school) which the local pharmacys as the new person in charge.

There are some other students that were suppose to be paid through a government program. The funds were sent to the school along with the tuition. The students stated last night that they have not received any of those funds since they started. 

They have moved some of the classes to a different building, much smaller classroom sizes.

I honestly don't see the value of this education that we have had to fight for. I want the school to pay my loans for poor quality in d**n near everything. I feel sorry for the teachers and the staff that had been delt a bad hand here.
