Michael (Dell):

It is a shame and a detriment to you that you've not read my email requesting regarding further contact for my issue by an AMERICAN who speaks English, as Shawn Arundale was condescending, does not know how to speak to women and did not tell the truth regarding my request (and NEED) for more memory, rather than a new laptop.

To reiterate, I'd like an American to contact me who can read and comprehend my email. Shawn was disrespectful and I never want to hear from him again.

The voicemail message and email from Susan Thomas clearly indicates that she too does not comprehend the aforementioned English email I wrote.

Shawn mentioned that the laptop was 'basic'. I cannot imagine you pulling the wool over your customer's eyes by promoting this piece of junk that doesn't work as well as my 3 year old cell or 10 year old broken Apple.

Why would you put out a new laptop that has questionable software and no memory? That's a rip off.

You've left me no choice but to report this sham.

Dell Customer Communication

Dear Ms. ,

This email is in reference to the correspondence received at the Dell corporate office.  I am handing this issue on behalf of the original resolver Shawn Michael Arendale as he is unavailable today.  I reached your voice mail when I called the telephone number ending with \  to discuss the issue.  As discussed earlier with Shawn, this computer is working as designed and is for simple web browsing and not serious computing.  We regret to inform you that it is not possible to process a replacement computer with different specifications.

Please provide the best time and the telephone number you want us to contact you on Monday to further discuss the issue.

Thank you.

Regards,

Susan Thomas

[EXTERNAL EMAIL]

Mr. Dell-IF you could please intervene, I'd appreciate it.

At the end of February 2019 I was gifted your Dell Inspiron laptop & it has never functioned properly. On March 1, 2019 I sent it to Dell in Houston for repair. By March 13, 2019 I had to contact Customer Support again for malfunction, was hung up on & never called back though CS had my phone number. While I completely understand outsourcing to India as possibly being cost efficient, it really isn't as the 6 or so CS employees I spoke with do not speak well or always understand what I'm saying--not solving the problem. The last CS person I spoke with did manage to tell me that my software was old (WHY WOULD YOU INSTALL OLD SOFTWARE?) & needed to be updated, as well as the fact that my laptop while in repair WAS NOT THOROUGHLY CHECKED & that I should send it in again for repair.

Wasteful for both of us to say the least.

The machines' issues are:

No immediate turn on-very slow;

Once turned on, the machine doesn't open documents quickly, takes a while to get to main screen--my 10 year old Mac that is broken runs faster;

Wifi no matter where I connect from is extremely slow in uploading/connecting & running;

Please help so we can address these issues once & for all.

Thank you & regards,
A

This is a PUBLIC site and as the PUBLIC we can post responses and ask questions as well if there is clarification needed where we might be able to provide suggestions.

Since you failed to answer any of the questions we can only figure that I hit the nail on the head and you were in fact being unreasonable in your request.

Unreasonable

What it seems is you were "gifted" a Laptop and because it is not as fast as you would like you want them to replace it(for free?) with a more powerful computer. I do give you an A+ for effort, but your request and reasoning shows that you are actually being the one who is quite unreasonable.

By the way all of the corrospondence you posted from them shows quite clearly that they understood your request. But businesses are not in the habbit of just handing out free computers so they denied your request.

Not that it would matter in this situation, but exactly how old is this computer, and when was it originally purchased (not "gifted" to you).  If you know it what is the Specific Model, and specs such as Memory and Processor.
