Mickey Finnis Moore & CSC of the Carolinas, Inc. Also his wife Rebekah Moore Legally stole my truck by leasing without paying for it Monroe & Indian Trail, North Carolina

This company was hired by my daughter to remove mold (and that's another whole ripoff story in itself) for the basement of a home she had just purchased.  As Mickey Moore started the work, he saw in the driveway my just deceased husband's 2006 Ford F150 work truck, which I had for sale.  It had racks, a new toolbox, sprayed on bed liner, and a trailer package.  It had an extended cab with 2 large entry doors and 2 small doors to enter behind the seat.

He told my daughter, "That truck is just like the ones my company uses! How do you like that!  They lease their trucks.  Hey, maybe I will talk with them and maybe they'd like to lease that truck from your mother.  You know, help her out."  When I was told that, I was surprised, I never thought I could do that.  I really was having trouble paying for it.  I had only co-signed the loan for my husband and when he suddenly died, 1 year after he bought it, I was stuck not only with the loss of him, I inherited his bills. 

So when Mickey Moore came back a few days later, saying as charming as he could ever be, that his company would lease the vehicle, I thought it must be a gift from god. He said they always used a standard lease agreement, that would take care of all general maintenance every 3,000 to 4,000 miles, the state and local taxes, the insurance (which was a 2 million dollar policy!) he would register it with the DMV and get plates under his companies name.  The company would pay at least $800 every 2 months and after 3 years, reserved the right to purchase the vehicle.  If they were late in paying, I would get an extra $25 and could demand the vehicle's return. Everything a grieving, broke widow wanted to hear.

All indications pointed to the fact that this was a very successful business and I had figured my college educated child had checked out this company throughly, so I felt this was legit.

After signing the lease, even though it stated he would give me $800, he only gave me $400 and when I said that the lease said it should be $800, he had the answer only a con man could come up with, and that was...it's $400 now and at the end of the lease, another $400.  I kinda of could go along with that, because $400 is $400, but I should have taken that as a omen of a shady deal, but being desparate...and naive and very honest, I believed him. 

He then took the keys and off he went with my plate on it, promising to return the plate the next day, after he went to the DMV. He told me I could cancel my insurance on the truck, because he got insurance through In-south insurance and I did receive a letter from them stating that, but I had lapse insurance for a week and 1/2 and had to pay $50 to the DMV, Mickey said he'd pay me back for that. A week later, his brother in law came over to my daughters to clean up some of the mess and he was driving my truck (well their leased vehicle) and it still had my plate on it.

I called Mickey and told him that was not acceptable and he better take care of this and get his own plate and return mine.  Weeks passed and many unfulfilled promises.

He never did go to the DMV and get new plates.  He never returned mine either.  He (and he said everyone in his company forgot to add me onto their payment schedule) did pay me the June payment of $400, which I got, not on the 1st when due, but after many phone calls and emails, on the 20th of June. It wasn't the 2 month payment of $800.

He also included a plate, but that license plate was not mine! I emailed him, asking if he was trying to pull some kind of scam or did he really make a mistake and mail me the wrong plate? I got an answer that they are a very honest and rightous company that doesn't scam anyone, thank you very much!!

Then Mickey supposely fell off a ladder and was out of touch.  When he did come back and he actually did call me, this is July now and that payment was overdue.  He was so nice and told me he would find the plate, and that he took care of the DMV stuff.   Then he said his company was in financial trouble, because no one picked up any money they were owed, but he was going to pick up $36 thousand dollars that night and he would come to my office and give me the money owed. 

The next day I called him and his phone was disconnected. He never answered any of the email I sent.  He cut off all communication with me and I never got another dime from him.  In August I received a letter stating that the wonderful insurance policy had with his company had been cancelled. I left many messages with his companies answering service asking him to forgot the payments, just return the truck, like the lease said.

The June payment was the last payment they ever paid me-Thank you very much!

The beginning of November, he actually answered one of the thousand emails my daughter had sent them about finishing the work on her house, and they had the nerve to tell her to tell me, that they were having a cash flow problem, but in 30 days, they fully intended to pay me every cent they owed me on the truck. Isn't that great? I'm still waiting.  He and his company act like they are so concerned for their customers and with the mold removal, so concerned with their health, but what they have done to me, is causing me so much stress, they should be concerned with my health. With the theft of this truck and the cancellation of my insurance on it, has prevented me from selling it or even having it repossessed so maybe I would owe a littler amount, instead of over $12,000!!

I would love to tell my creditors that I have a cash flow problem, because an unscrupleous company legally stole my truck.  Cash flow problem my foot!!  So after reading what they did to Mr. Yousef, I wish I had seen this website before I signed that phony lease.  I love how they rebutt what Mr. Yousef says, as if he's lying. Like I said, they work he did at my daughter's home is another whole bunch of bull. If I ever see Mickey Moore again, I hope he's in handcuffs.
