Moberly Area Commuinty College MACC Student Loans, scam, avoid this college, Moberly, Missouri

Avoid this school! You won't get one straight answer. I recently transfered from Columbia College to save money on tuition. Before I made any choice on a school I took into consideration the date of disbursment for my refunds. At Columbia College they always gave out disbursment checks 14 days after you started. After speaking with MACC and after being told that they do the exact same thing as Columbia I decided to transfer there. Well needles to say the 14 days have come and gone, I contacted the finacial advisor and was told it would be another 2 weeks. I wasn't happy but could deal with that. Well the 2 weeks have come and gone and still nothing. So I called again and was told I would recieve a letter and that it could take another 2-4 weeks. Now understand that I do not stay on campus and that this money is used for my living expenses. Today I finally recieved the letter and was extremely happy because it meant I could pay my rent and get my landlord off my back( who is very pissed because I have twice now told him a date that I would have it payed and both times broken that promise). So do you think I got the d**n check?? Hell no!!!!!!!!!! It's a letter that states that I need to go to a student loan counseling seminar because I've never recieved finacial aid at MACC. Oh and the first date for the seminar that I could have attended was on FEB. 3rd 2010.  They just mailed out this d**n letter on the 8th!! Plus they gave the city and times where I need to attend this seminar but no address. So I called them again and was told that after I attend this seminar that it will take 72 hrs. to process and then 14 days after that I should have my loans!!! Are they f***ing kidding me?? I have already contacted the State Attorney's office in this matter. Now I'm probably going to be evicted from my home and I have a 9 yr. old son!! If they would have told the truth in the first place none of this would be happening and I could have made some kind of arrangements. All they did was tell me a bunch of bullshit to get me in at their school! So unless you like being lied to avoid this school!!!!!!!!!
