Not good enough Al Montana seems to think that he is a rule under himself-he lacks professional intergrity and his business practice leaves a lot to be desired-I am speaking from my experience with this Company. If it is not enough to have been invoiced for Insurance, which I paid-then my goods involved in a major accident-to then learn thet there was no Insurance as he took my money and only paid 2 payments this cost me in excess of $22,000 to repair.
To cap this off my goods were shipped and I took delivery on 19th Dec 2011. But my AFrame was missing-Montana tried to infer that Customs had lost-under pressure from me he relented on 5th January 2012 and said my AFrame was not shipped it was still at his factory. Since 5th Jan Al Montana has had to be persuaded to get my goods to me. After numerous dealings with this person I eventually received an email on 19th May to say "box on its way" ring this person. I contacted the person as per his instructions and infromed ship will arrive on 22 May. BUT the container from Al  Montana has been red flagged by Customs-I am told for misleading documentation-It is now 9th July and I still do not have my AFrame. I contacted Al Montana for the Container No or Bill of Laden as he has never produced either to me for my goods only to be informed to ring this other person.
All I want is a Container number or Bill of Laden then Customs will look at m y case and maybe release my AFrame to me as all the  necessary duties were paid for back in Nov 2011. So Al is being totally uncoperative in his selfish manner. It is not my fault if I have called his buiness practices into question He took my money and he failed to supply a service-now I have to suffer. Not fair

A'Frame Reference

AUTHOR: Ugly Betty - (Australia)

POSTED: Monday, July 30, 2012
Mr Barker there was not enough space to conclude my response to you. To complete
As far as Starter Motor is concerned all I know I paid Al Montana of Montana Exports the sum of $1100 for starter motor repairs as Invoiced. We did not have an issue with this at all- I also know that this Starter Motor had to be replaced on its arrival to Sydney. I do not know what happened in USA with the $1100 paid for the Starter Motor-it seems as though I was ripped off as the Reputable Dealer in Denver claimed that as far as he knew after the full Road Service on the Motor Home it started with no issues and he did not know that there was anything wrong with it!

However I do not hold or blame Montana Exports for this incident but at the same time I have a receipt for repairs here in Sydney.

A'Frame that you mentioned: Al Montana took delivery of my A'Frame in July 2011-yes July 2011- This A'Frame was to be shipped with all  my other goods inside the Motor Home-all the goods were individually declared and Tax paid for the lot. However when the Motor Home was shipped in Novemeber 2011 and I took delivery from Customs on 19th Dec 2011 the A'Frame was missing-Al Montana as usual started the blame game-Yet on 5th January 2012 Al Montana admitted that A'Frame was in his factory and that it was forgotten to be put in the Motor Home.

He promised to ship ASAP-an email said Feb 2012- After further numerous emails etc after Feb-Al Finally dispatched in April 2012 in another clients Container. I had no reference to this Container Number nor ship name only a person name-I stand by what has been mentioned re: Container being red flagged and why by Australian Custom Agents on 22nd May 2012. Customs after receiving Container Number released my A'Frame on 16th July 2012-Some 7 months later when it should have arrived in my Motor Home. Is this far-I suppose it is extremely poor service and a total disregard for a clients goods waiting to be delivered!I am sure Al had other Containers coming to Sydney-or why did he not send by another way-so we did not hav e to wait 7 months!

I will mention again that Al Montana as a Director/Manager of Montana Exports has slanderised myself and husband in writing-this of cause is how the GUILT attacks the Innocent-As I said previously we have used Montana Exports previously with no issue BUT when there is a problem which has surfaced he is a totally different person to deal with- Montana Exports are wrong and as I stated if he refuses to deal with the issue I will consider to apply a  Caveatable Interest and lodge on our behalf against their Assets-then they will have to take it to Court to prove their Innocence to have the Caveat lifted on their own Assets. This could cost the Montans thousands of dollars-I do not wish to do this but in the end if it makes Al and Tandem Montana own up that they are wrong and did the wrong thing by their client so be it.

I hope that Al or at least his wife Tandem take some initiative and direct their energy to start to negotiate about the issue instead of slanderising us like Al has done previously. This issue will not go away whatsoever.

FINE UNTIL FOUND OUT

AUTHOR: Ugly Betty - (Australia)

POSTED: Sunday, July 29, 2012

I, Mr Baker rely on validated documented evidence-from Progessive Insurance Company,& Broker,& 3rd Party against Al & Tandem Montana of Montana Exports. Until you KNOW the FULL FACTS and the WHOLE TRUTH I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself. Al has made numerous statements & declarations since my Contract started. In particular Al agreed to INSURE my M/HOME as Extension to his Business Insurance-apparently NOT the case. Al Invoiced me, I paid by direct transfer to his Business Account $725 for full Insurance. Prog. Insurance,& Broker confirmed that only 2 payments of $61.80 in total ever received-=I also learn full Insurance was $318 for year-not $726 as Invoiced.Legally Al & Tandem Montana has Fraudently charged me for a Service of which they have failed to deliver. My Contract with Montana was to retreive M/Home from Denver to Los Angeles & Al had agreed to deliver direct to 3rd Party premises to have new "DECALS" only.  However Al's driver-an employee was ill-so Al himself informed 3rd Party to come & pick up M/Home. Confirmation in writing from 3rd Party REFUTES Al's account of Events-same as respectable seller in Denver-refutes Al's account of events as well. You state "at some great trouble"re Starter Motor-Driver flew out Thurs. picked up M/Home half hour from Denver Air Port drove 1600 Miles back to Los Angeles-by Sat-not a bad drive with St/Motor issues as claimed what you label as "an old used vehicle"M/Home had a full Road Service days before delivery. St/Motor I paid $1,100 yet another St/Motor installed in Aust-There is refutable evidence against M/Exp-I have suffered signicicantly with his slanderous outbursts-which he has put in writing-silly man-Perhaps a Caveatiable Interest will be lodged against their assets-then it will be up to Montanas to prove their innocense in a Court Room-I hope it does not go this far-Montana Exports have to own up that they were wrong with the Insurances that I paid in full to have my Motor Home Insured in case of an Accident-Mr  Barker your last sentence is rubbish-you know nothing about us or who we are to make this comment-you have relied on what Al Montana has implied-this is a man who can not even produce a proper Progessive Insurance Receipt to prove me wrong-I know he can't as I was ripped off by his Business and it cost me in excess of $22,000-put yourself in my shoes-

Never a Problem with Montana Exports

AUTHOR: P Barker - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 25, 2012

I just don't understand how someone can get on the internet and buy a very old used vehicle that is located on the other side of the world and expect that it will get to their garage with absolutely no problems. The logistics involved in this process are enormous and any number of things can go wrong.

I have delt with Montana Exports for over ten years. I have had two vehicles and many auto parts shipped to Australia and I have never had a problem with the service.

The situation in this case, as explained to me by Montana Exports, was that the vehicle concerned suffered a starter motor failure enroute to Los Angeles from interstate and it was repaired at great expense and with great trouble. Subsequently the owner of the vehicle elected to have it painted by a third party in Los Angeles and when an employee of the auto painting concern picked the vehicle up he damaged the engine sump resulting in a major failure and an expensive engine rebuild.

This matter is between the owner of the vehicle and the auto painter, and is not the concern of Montana Exports.

The A-frame hold up is due to Australian Customs quarantining the container due to incorrect declaration of vehicle values by a third party. Again, not the fault of Montana Exports.

Its just way too ambitious and naive to think that nothing will go wrong when it comes to importing old cars.

Contact from Montana Exports

AUTHOR: Ugly Betty - (Australia)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 11, 2012

It has been an amazing 12 hours since I lodged a report on the Rip off site with reference to Al Montana of Montana Exports declining to give me information about the Container Number I require for Sydney Customs. My Goods were shipped with no documentation whatsoever from this Exporter to me-This Container has been red flagged by Customs for Misleading Declarations and I required these details so that Customs could review my goods in this Container separately-

I had paid all Government Duties last December-for all my goods except a large box which was forgotten to be shipped at the same time--hence why it was shipped this in this Container that has been red flagged Al Montana refused to give me the information- after all he shipped the goods from L.A in this container. Al Montana was absolutely furious when he telephoned us here in Australia on (11th July 2012) I believe that Al Montana was furious and disturbed that I had lodged what I believe is a rip off once again-by him and his company on the rip off site-

Al Montana after a few debated words with my husband and Al Montana once again slanderised me to my husband because I will not allow any of my issues with his company Montana Exports rest until Al Montana of Montana Exports accepts that they were wrong with my Insurances-see my other reports on the rip off site-Al  Montana at least gave in and informed my husband of the Container Number that has been red flagged in Sydney since 22nd May 2012 with our declared goods  I may ask-was this so hard to do Al!

Why are you not in damage control with my other issue-the damage to M/Home-after all I am out of pocket in excess of $22,000-not through my fault-BUT yours as Company Director and Owner
