Ripoff Report Verified™ REVIEW:

EDITOR’S UPDATE: Positive rating and recognition has been given to MyComputerCareer for its commitment to excellence in customer service.

Ripoff Report’s discussions with MyComputerCareer have uncovered an ongoing commitment by the company to total client satisfaction. This means that in the event of a disagreement or unmet expectation, students can expect that the institution will work towards finding a mutually satisfactory resolution. MyComputerCareer executives and staff listen carefully to client concerns and see them as opportunities to learn from past mistakes and become more efficient and effective in delivering a quality education and career development experience to each and every student.

MyComputerCareer’s Founder and President, Tony Galati, has gone the extra mile to give his personal assurance to students that their concerns, as well as their compliments will be heard. “We know that at a busy school like ours, a student may occasionally fall behind or feel a little lost. We’ve certainly had a few instances of students feeling as though their expectations weren’t being met or their voices weren’t heard. That’s why we implemented ‘Dear Tony.’ If ever a student feels like their needs aren’t being met by our personnel on their campus, they know where to go to reach me, personally, and get my response quickly—usually the same day. I don’t know any other school where students have that kind of immediate access to the President, Provost, or Dean. I treat these messages with the highest priority because nothing is more important to me than the satisfaction and success of our students!”

In the course of its review of MyComputerCareer, Ripoff Report learned that in most cases, the Dear Tony feedback is positive, affirming that students are enjoying a successful experience at the school. Whenever a suggestion or criticism is noted, however, the organization is quick to mobilize around the student to resolve the concern. MyComputerCareer has demonstrated that, more than simply meeting mandatory requirements of any resolution or settlement, administrators go the extra mile to attempt to exceed expectations and help the complainant feel positively about the experience and outcome.

The information provided in this report is based on comments made by Bruce Ackerman during an on-site inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward MyComputerCareer.com, Inc.

MyComputer Career is Ripoff Report Verified
Ripoff Report Verified™ .. part of Ripoff Report Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation & Customer Satisfaction Program.A program that benefits the consumer, assures them of complete satisfaction and confidence when doing business with a member business..

MyComputerCareer.com, Inc. is a school offering IT training to help their clients achieve better, more satisfying careers by giving them specialized training in the area of information technology. Leads are typically acquired through internet and radio advertising, as well as through their website. The team at MyComputerCareer.com focus on a “no pressure” sales process, where the customer is given “the help and consideration [they need] to make an informed decision to commit to the course of study,” explains Bruce Ackerman, a representative of the school.

At times, a client may feel that he or she was not satisfied with the level of service received, however, Mr. Ackerman states this is not common. In the few cases students do feel that way, the team at MyComputerCareer.com “went above and beyond normal customer care” to ensure the client’s satisfaction, explains Mr. Ackerman. This generally ensures that the client is happy after the team works with them, but sometimes, Mr. Ackerman states that the client does not ever reply after receiving the additional help. After a complaint is resolved, regardless of the outcome, the student is asked to return. “And, in some instances, one on one contact is made,” explains Mr. Ackerman.

MyComputerCareer Complaint Resolution & Customer Care

When receiving a complaint, the team at MyComputerCareer.com does take into consideration the student’s time and money spent thus far on the course. “Consideration is taken, but once a student has taken over 50% of the class, the company still goes above and beyond” to ensure the student’s satisfaction, states Mr. Ackerman. To ensure that the students are receiving quality training, all instructors have professional degrees, and the school offers one-on-one training, second-chance testing, and job placement upon completion of the training.

In response to the complaint launched against them on Ripoff Report, Mr. Ackerman states that it was a fabricated complaint posted by a competitor in August of 2012. Since receiving the complaint, MyComputerCareer.com has since launched its own “Dr. Tony Website,” where students can post complaints and the team at MyComputerCareer.com can respond to them directly and resolve any issues that arise.

Mr. Ackerman and the team at MyComputerCareer.com, Inc. recognize the value of working with Ripoff Report and the Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation and Customer Satisfaction Program, and the platform it provides for businesses and clients to interact and resolve issues. Mr. Ackerman states that they value the “accurate reporting” that Ripoff Report offers.

MyComputerCareer Positive Feedback

"MyComputerCareer employees feel a strong connection to the company and especially, to the students. It’s not uncommon to hear comments like, 'I love what I do. Every day I come to work knowing I’m helping to make a positive difference in our students’ lives.' This sentiment extends from the boardroom to the classroom and will be echoed by executives, admissions advisors, instructors, career services personnel, and administrative staff.

Employers that hire MyComputerCareer students seem complimentary, as well. For instance, Marie Badger, a recruiter for an IT staffing firm in the Raleigh area said, 'MyComputerCareer has set the standard of what an individual should do in trying to break into the IT field. The whole process is awesome because it guarantees a way in…I have been working with MyComputerCareer for about two years and…what I have been most impressed with is the quality [candidates]. It has just been a great experience all around.’”

STATED IMPROVEMENTS FROM YOUR COMPANY NAME.

"Ripoff Report complaints have given MyComputerCareer the impetus to reevaluate the customer experience and make sure we’re delivering on our promises. Although no one can satisfy every customer 100% of the time, we can make sure that when we do stumble, we do everything in our power to make it right. Through our new “Dear Tony” program, and better internal communications throughout the organization whenever a challenge first appears, we have been able to spot and resolve problems earlier and avoid some of the disappointments that might have otherwise resulted both for the student and for our organization. MyComputerCareer is committed to continually striving to improve in this vital area of customer satisfaction and service.”

In summary, after our review, which included discussions with Mr. Galati and many of his past and current associates, Rip-off Report is convinced that MyComputerCareer is committed to quality delivery of services resulting in total client satisfaction.

MYCOMPUTERCAREER.com Indianapolis, Indiana

signed up for the "pro" and they go through instructors plus the instructors literally just read from the book.
Nothing hands-on but copying the example from the book- that might have worked but there was no explanations given. Was just told to memorize but honestly I didn't nor did my classmates understand the material. Instructor(s) seemed uninterested. Save your money- the guy that owns this I learned worked for computertraining .com and mycomputercareer.com is in the same building. Search ripoff and the internet for computertraining.com - they closed their doors and lawsuits- now the place is almost reincarnated and in the same building! Save your money or fall prey - I wish I knew this before hand - now I'm holding the bag...just look before you leap with these smooth talkers promising 60k+ out of the shoot. even if I was hired I'd be fired quickly as I wouldn't feel competent after their training

Your institution is a joke. I have seen drunks, very uneducated pepole who could not pass an exam if their life depended on it. Your insitution is totally focused on everybody who walks through the door. Better believe that they are seen as walking dollar sign for you, Bill and Bruce. Yes, I was a student at your facility in Columbus, Ohio. your career services could not get a professional resume done. Remember guys, it is for life time. Matter of fact, I am so embarrassed to put mycomputercareer.com on my resume. Certification exams are so hard that your own instructors are failing them. Making $ 60,000 and more is absolutely overrated. I have seen student accepting job as little as $ 8.00 an hour. The company directs students to temporary agencies. What is wrong with mycomputercareer.com? You don't even provide labs that works, books are downloaded as .pdf files, wireless access works only half the time (Columbus is now wired, because the instructor didn't want to fix the problem by avoiding it), free software comes from DreamSparks, a microsoft website. If students need to access the PowerPoint slides, they have to download OpenOffice, once again, a free software available to everyone. Instructors, yeah, we had one that allow the students up to three hours of lunch time and sometimes he would not came back, talk about professional. When the instructor resigned, the class was left with instructors to fill and came unprepared to class. Now, tuition are $19,500 by adding Security+ and a tablet on, to justify the $ 5,000 increase. People, if you have commen sence, google the Network Administrator's and Server Administrator's job descriptions. Trust me, you won't even get close to a job paying the $ 60,000 or more. Most of the job description require Bacholer degrees and years of experience. The certificate of completion at the end of the program, frame it or put it away, that is all what is good for, NOTHING. I will never recommend this institution to anyone, I am embarrassed to say that I attend this place because it is a scam and hoax or whatever you want to call it. At the orientation, the recuiter will tell you that you can take certification exams as many times until you pass, wrong, only applies to the MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate), not the the hard ones. I have seen students walk out without any certifications and while I was there, only one passed 70-680, nobody passed others. Like I said, even instructors are failing the exams but they will be teaching students, how to pass exams. That is all what they offer to students, passing exams. If anybody considers mycomputercareer.com, please google free courses like Professor Messer. Most of classmates used him because he explains to a point where it makes sense.

Bogus Complaint Against MyComputerCareer

AUTHOR: brucea - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 22, 2012

As a company insider I can state unequivocally that this is a bogus complaint. The most obvious fallacy is that at the time this complaint was filed (Sep. 14 2012), just a couple of weeks after opening our doors in Indianapolis, we had not even started our first class in that location, much less completed one. The complaint, therefore, is likely to be the work of a competitor or someone who feels threatened by the presence of a successful IT career school in the market. But that's speculation, of course.

As to the other allegations related to the instructors and course of study, they must be bogus because no student at Indianapolis had yet experienced our curriculum. First, turnover among our instructors is very low. More importantly, the description presents a patently false view of our training protocols. Every class features hands-on labs and unlimited 1-on-1 tutoring and mentoring from our very experienced instructors. While memorization is an important part of any learning process, the focus of our training is on applied learning so our students are prepared to perform well on the job--and they do! Many are employed before they complete their training and most advance quickly in their new careers.

MyComputerCareer makes no specific claims or "promises" concerning starting salaries for graduates. This will vary widely depending on a number of factors. We do, however, prepare students to receive specific certifications that qualify them for positions that may be available to them both immediately and over time. Salary data for these positions can be obtained from the federal government (bls.gov) and from 3rd party sources like Salary.com and Robert Half Intl.

Finally, while it's true that the Founder of MyComputerCareer is a former ComputerTraining.com employee, he left the latter firm more than two years prior to their demise with the determination to create a more student-centric program with far better outcomes--which he has done. No MyComputerCareer campus, to the best of my knowledge, is located in the same building as a former ComputerTraining.com campus and there is no connection in management or ownership between the two schools.

I challenge the author of the above complaint to come forward with their identification and documented proof of the specious allegations presented. For a more accurate view of our students' successes, visit our YouTube Channel (http://YouTube.com/MyComputerCareer) our Success Stories page (http://MyComputerCareer.edu/success-stories) or our blog (http://MyComputerCareer.edu/news)

graduate from Mycomputercareer.com

AUTHOR: PFord21 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, November 19, 2012

i just read this post and gotta say im offended and appauled. im a graduate from mycomputercareer.com in both their pro and advanced courses. and it was ALL hands on, the instructors had extensive knowledge on past and present protocols and methods of operation within in the industry. during classes i landed a job refurbishing pc's and servers, and currently i am an  engineering technician with the 2nd largest engineering firm in the world doing Industrial IT and making an obscene amount of money. Do not let this report sway you if you are considering taking classes with this institution, you get out of it what you put into it. if you're willing to devote the time and energy into studying and testing, you will receive irreplaceable knowledge and training. i HIGHLY recommend this school and its courses. oh and by the way, they hooked me up with an awesome laptop and tablet pc. just putting that out there

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

This posting is a complete Hoax

AUTHOR: BSallada - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 03, 2012

Hello, Im Bill Sallada, one of the owners of MyComputerCareer.com.  We will not hide behind screen names and for anyone who would like to contact me, please feel free to do so by phone or through our website.   This report was posted by a competing school in the Indianapolis area.  This report is completely untrue and lacks any facts or merit and MyComputerCareer.com was not even open in Indianapolis during the time stated.  I ask that any students who are interested in getting into the computer or medical industry please read this reply to set the record straight about the school.

The post above was posted to RipOffReport .com on September 14th, 2012.  MyComputerCareer.com purchased an existing school in Indianapolis named TechSkills in July of 2012, and reopened its doors for new students on August 29th, 2012.  Our first computer class started on September 28th 2012, two weeks after the post was made in which the person claims to have graduated from our program.  I hope that anyone who is sincerely interested in going to school and improving their life can put two and two together.  This post was simply not made by a student and all of their experiences are completely false, simply because we didnt exist in Indianapolis during the time in question.  MyComputerCareer.com does have campuses in 4 other cities, but this poster claims to be specifically from Indianapolis.  We dont even offer a program called the Pro.  I could go through each separate allegation and show that their not true, but again, the poster has no credibility simply because we didnt exist in Indianapolis during this time.  Another of the owners of MyComputerCareer.com was at one time employed by the school referenced in the post as an instructor, and he was one of the over 100 instructors that large company employed at some time.  We have no actual connection to them.  Their allegation is like blaming a random employee who worked at Countrywide mortgage in 2002 for the whole mortgage crisis.

I apologize that any potential students have to read this confusing and false information, irresponsibly posted on the internet by a competing I.T. school that advertises on the radio in Indianapolis as part of an Advertising War. Again, this was posted only two weeks after we opened, and before our classes even started.   RipOffReport.com will also not take down information, regardless of how incorrect it is. Companies are forced to go through their arbitration process, which will cost the company thousands of dollars.  RipOffReport.com makes all their income selling arbitration and SEO services to companies that are blasphemed on this website.   You can post that your brother drank a Diet Coke and it killed him, and theyll leave it up until Coke pays them to take it down.

Thank you for taking the time to read this response to the post.   For more information about
MyComputerCareer.com, please visit our website or one of our campuses.  We are a licensed, accredited school, approved by the Dept of Veterans affairs, and financial aid is available to
those who qualify.
