In April I received a call from MJ at National Vehicle in Omaha, NE (I did not solicit the call).  She asked me if I had sold the camper that I was trying to sell.  I told her I had not up to this time.  Then she led me to believe that for $499.00 National Vehicle would list my camper with both ClassyRV and on E-Bay until sold. She led me to believe that this was the fee E-Bay charges. She assured me that she was positive it would sell quickly because there was a demand for my type of camper.  She showed me all the listings in E-Bay Motors and ClassyRV.  I told her that I would like to discuss it with my parents because they were coming over shortly for lunch.  I had no one else to talk it over with because my spouse passed away eight years ago.  MJ made fun of me by asking “How old are you?”  So I agreed to the listing and gave her my credit card number.

My credit card was charged immediately.  The listing was entered within a couple of days.  A few days later I received another call from MJ telling me that for another $100.00 I could get premiere placement in ClassyRV.  So I agreed because I needed the camper sold.

Again a few days later, MJ called me again and said that for an additional $150.00 I could get a border around my E-Bay listing and have it premiered.  The total was now $750.00.  Also MJ began to tell me how many days were left on the listing in E-Bay but she kept telling me there were so-and-so many approved buyers looking at it.

On Friday, May 10, 2013, MJ called again and told me that she just knew if the listing ran out she would put it on auction in E-Bay for an additional $350.00.  I found out this auction was only going to be for seven days.  But she was sure that I would get an offer before that time and we would talk about it before the listing.  She led me to believe she had people she was talking to and there may not even be a need for another listing.  There was never any discussion regarding a reserve amount or any other details.

The original 21 day listing was to run out today (May 15, 2013).  Yesterday morning at 4:00 am. I awoke with a sickening feeling that I was being scammed.  I got up and sent an e-mail to MJ and the support department at National Vehicle telling them that I did not want to go ahead with the listing at E-Bay.  I also had done a lot of research in E-Bay Motors and found out the fees didn’t even come close to the exorbitant fees I had been charged.  MJ called me at 6:30 in the morning and and I told her how I felt.  She again made fun of me and said “Well, I didn’t buy your camper”.  She belittled me and told me I worry too much.  I tentatively agreed to go ahead with the listing.  She then told me all the fees were because she was looking out for my interests so I wouldn’t be ripped off (ha! ha!)  Today the listing ran out.  BEFORE it ran out I sent e-mails again to MJ and the support department telling them NOT to charge my credit card account or list again in E-Bay.  I also told the support department I had no more desire to discuss this with this woman.

MJ called this morning (May 15, 2013) and told me she would call back at one.  I had to run some errands and didn’t get back until 2:30.

I received a call from the support department telling me I would be contacted tomorrow from customer service.  After that I checked and found out MJ had relisted my camper in E-Bay without discussing any terms with me.

I contacted E-Bay but they need me to talk to the customer service department first.  I told E-Bay that under no circumstances would I work with this company further.

National Vehicle Customer Service very gracious in solving my issue

AUTHOR: Anonymous - ()

POSTED: Thursday, May 16, 2013

Today I spoke with customer service at National Vechile.  The agent was Corine.  She was refreshing to speak with and understood my problem.  They agreed to refund my $350.00 and yet continue the auction in E-Bay.  She also agreed to list my camper in a local Craigslist for no cost.  Corine told me she would handle my acccount from here out.  So I now highly recommend National Vehicle and ClassyRV.  They have an excellent customer service department!
