OCWEN Mortgage Loan Servicing, LLC Ocwen Financial Corporation False updates stating that modification requests are under review West Palm Beach, Florida

Ocwen has been advising us that our modification consideration is under review since October 2009. Everytime we call, their outsourced call center reps they say call back in 24-48 hours and we will have an answer for you. Their supposed advocate, the ombudsman office nevers answers the phone, nor do they respond to emails.

Come to find out that the modification has been denied all along and they have been leading us on until 5 days before the sale date. They have been doing this illegally since 2008. So far, not one single non-profit agency has been able to help us.

The first in-house modification they agreed to was in 2008, after making three on time payments, they decided not to accept our payments anymore because I assume they wanted to wait until they could benefit from it under the governments making home affordable program, which they also denied us for.

No agreement can be made with Ocwen as they are not trustworthy and want nothing more than to auction your home. It seems as though the only option now is to file a chapter 13 to postpone the sell date and take a chance that something can eventually be worked or due to their predatory practices, maybe we can have time to file a lawsuit to prevent them from having the automatic stay lifted.
