I am one of many who've been ripped off by this woman and her husband.  Pamela contacted us all soliciting entry into her shop.  She took thousands of dollars in merchandise with signed contracts, sold some of it, kept the rest and is not returning money, merchandise or email.  She is not following the terms of her own contract.  She and her husband respond to increasingly annoyed and frustrated emails with childish insults, empty threats and little, if any, action.  Some of us have been trying to get our things back/money we're owed for a year now.  They simply don't care.

Pam likes to play up her illness and her 'quirks' but several people who've had real life dealings with her have told stories of con games and lies that end with temper tantrums and petty revenge when discovered.  Currently she seems to be engaged in smoking a lot of dope and giving tarot readings over the phone.

Steer clear of this woman if you value your business or finances!  She and her husband both are shysters and have no remorse whatsoever about putting very small, women owned businesses out of business and ripping off fellow fiber enthusiasts.

Really Pam?

AUTHOR: Disgruntled Artist - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 15, 2011

So now it's 2011. No inventory has been returned. Emails have been ignored and my report was 'unfair'? Really?

Get a grip, lady. You are a thief, liar, shyster and conwoman. Your business didn't help anyone build their business. Your business was a joke. Your photos were awful, your site was ridiculous and your contract worth less than the paper it was printed out on. I maintain very steady sales of my products on my own site and have for years, but with you I hardly sold a thing because of your crappy photos and site. Or maybe I did sell plenty and you just never paid me, that seems equally as likely.

I hope you enjoy all the yarn, stitch markers, fiber and other things you kept from hard working small business women. I hope you feel really good about that. I hope you feel really good about that for the rest of your worthless life, you lying sack of garbage.

I know for a fact you sold my yarns without compensating me for the sales at Sock Summit TWO FREAKING YEARS AGO. I know this because I have connections in the business (duh) and a vendor friend of mine saw people walking around with my yarn at SS in 2009. We're approaching 3 years, Pam. 3 years since I started asking for my things back. 3 years since you started telling me, and anyone else, that you were sending them back. 3 years, Pam. Three. Years. Is my report still unfair? I'm sure it is to you, because you're a lunatic and should probably be under psychiatric supervision.

I would loved to have emailed this diatribe to you instead (you are a fool and a half if you think I'm EVER going to stop harassing you about this until you return either merchandise or money) but since you're ignoring my emails I guess we'll do this publicly. No problem. This is one of the first searches that comes up when you look for your name or your husband's name or any one of the many monikers you use online. Plenty easy enough for anyone to find. Enjoy the notoriety, you've earned it!

Unfair report

AUTHOR: Pam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 29, 2010

Yes, our business, Yarny Goodness, has been slow in responding to some of our vendors, and for that we do apologize.  However, the report given by this anonymous poster is both unfair and nearly libelous.

First, the reason why we haven't sent everyone's products back to them even though our shop is closed is because of real life events.  We spent thousands of dollars supporting, advertising, and running the business.  My husband lost his job -- income from which was being used to support the business -- last September, and yes, I have a terminal illness which means I don't have either the energy or ability to work actively on getting the shop shut down.  I'm sorry that these sound like excuses, but they are real, and anyone that actually knows us knows these to be true.

To say that we don't care is simply not true.

As for "con games," "lies," and "petty revenge," I would like to know of any single instance of such shenanigans apart from our tardiness in getting some vendors' stock returned.

"Smoking a lot of dope"?  This person truly does not understand exactly what is going on with me health-wise.  The level of pain that I am undergoing is usually controlled through the use of of prescription medications, and it was at a doctor's urging that I use medical marijuana for those rare times when even the most potent prescription does nothing for my symptoms.  I can count the number of times I have resorted to this on one hand.

I also don't understand what tarot readings have to do with getting one's inventory returned.  Yes, I have given one such reading for a friend of my husband in the past year.  That's it.  It isn't as if such a nefarious activity was keeping me from my responsibilities.

I would like to address the poster's last point.  We have lost thousands of dollars trying to support independent yarn, wool, and accessory producers -- most of whom are indeed women.  Many successful businesses are successful because of our work in getting them noticed.  If we were indeed the criminals you make us out to be, then we're very bad criminals since we've lost more than any body else.

And finally, I would like to say that we are STILL in the process of returning items to vendors and because of the costs involved we manage to get one or two vendors taken care of each week.  The one bit of pettiness that I will admit to is that those vendors who have been exceedingly rude to us we have moved to the end of the list to get taken care of.  The vast majority of our approximately 120 vendors have been happy with us.
