We contacted this company to buy images. They were very rude to us, extremely rude. They threatened to charge us a $100 restoration fee. Then they said they would waive it as a "courtesy".

When they finally sent us an invoice they said we had a few hours to pay or they will charge the $100 restoration fee.

We have never done business with such a scrupulous company. Consumers should stay away from this company. They are using threatening and unethical business practices.

In the end we did not buy the images. We were tired of being threatened.

Lying Company

AUTHOR: Anonymous - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 01, 2013

I never attempted or did intimidate your company. Thank God I have the record conversations and the email proof.

On March 26, 2013 the company emailed WATERMARKED copies of the images ONLY because the images had been removed from their website. How can you order images by number without seeing the number?
Again, this images are WATERMARKED. They can not be used by anyone. So for me to steal images from you is groundless.

Our communication by email lasted from March 26th to March 29th. On March 27th after we had been corresponding that day I asked them to send me an invoice for their cheapest package.

They did not respond after that on March 27th. They did not respond on March 28th. Then on March 29th at 12:14 PM ET they sent the following via email:

"Good morning,  we just send a money request to you via Paypal,  we will keep the negative files till 5:00p.m. today to complete your order, please make sure you complete the order by that time as we need to send the data base back to our data storage,  if we do not have the order by 5:00p.m. today any order after that time would be subject to additional $100.00 recivering fee.

ThanksLook forward to hear from you.John"

Reading the company's rebuttal it is clear they were upset that I decided to go with the cheaper package. Now, if I wanted only digital images from them, why would I tell them to send me a PayPal invoice for a cheaper package? Also, why would I continue communication with them after they sent me digital images? Their rebuttal doesn't make sense because it is a lie.

Over the phone John told me that I would not buy the images because NO ONE EVER BUYS from him. I told him that I was different. I told him that he should not treat ANY customer as a past customer. Each person is different.

Despite his rudeness and aggressiveness I still wanted to buy because he was the only person that had the pictures. I has no choice. So I had to deal with his nastiness to get the images I wanted. The final straw was when he threatened to charge me $100 if I did not pay in less than 5 hours. That is clearly an unethical business practice.

When I canceled the order via email I typed,

"Hello,

You do not respond to my email or send me an invoice for two days. Now today you email me stating you have sent a money request and it needs to be paid in four hours or you will charge an additional $100.
Cancel the order. Your company is extremely unprofessional."

The PayPal invoice was sent the same time he sent that email to me threatening to charge $100 if it was not paid by 5 PM on the day the invoice was generated. So it is not as if he sent me the invoice on the 26th of March, the 27th of March or the 28th of March. That invoice was sent on March 29th in the 12 PM ET hour. So I was not "sitting" on an invoice. I NEVER RECEIVED THE INVOICE BECAUSE HE NEVER SENT THE INVOICE. Again, there is a time stamped PayPal invoice I have...again thank God! (Proof is everything!)

So then after my email, at 12:35 PM ET he replies this to me, "fine".

However, that isn't enough for him. At 12:38 PM ET he sends me another email. It says, "it takes only 2 seconds to place the order , if you really really were interested,  we spend more than 2 hours going back and forth with you, my guest was correct from the start,  any order from now -on placed on this photo will be additional $100.00 charge."

So, as you can see, his email proves what I said earlier in that he stated we would not buy and how this was a waste of time for him. If a business that tells you that dealing with you at the beginning is a waste of time, RUN! That is a red flag. However, I wanted the images so badly that I was willing to tolerate his unprofessionalism. My wake up call was the threat.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wrong Information,

AUTHOR: John Williams - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 01, 2013

Ms. Bonnet... has contacted our company to research and purchase photos of someone who is her friend(what she told us over the phone) from graduating class of a university that was closed 4-years ago.
Our company policy is for retrieving any image from past (more than 2-years) there would be  a charge of $100.00 for image request from old archive  (she called this a threats). While in the beginning she insisted she will order many many packages,   she kept asking and asking to see how she can intimated our employee  by addressing the fact that she is a web. designer and she works with many photographers and the digital image is not expensive and why should we charge for retrieval and proof  it takes only a second).  We did retrieve the images made the contact sheet without any charges to her,  she did asked for paypal invoice that we did send it to her in 2- days and by friday we needed to finalize the order or send our digital files back to the digital storage. This person  was not ready to order any photos,  she just wanted to get the digital image for nothing or a minimum price,  if she was series, IT WOULD NOT TAKE MORE THAN 60 SECONDS to complete the paypal invoice and order the photos.

We will post all her email correspondence on line so it will be clear to everyone,  We follow our company guideline and we will value every customer,  For the past 30 years we have had a very very good report of our conduct within the policy guidelines of our company and we will make sure to keep it but we are not in the business of treats ($100.00 retrieval fee) is not a treat.

Her entire emails will be posted shortly.
