Penske Cadillac Buick GMC Southbay I told him I would gladly pay $125.00 more not to do business with a dealership that over charges their customers Torrance California

My vehicle over heated on the 405 on a Friday and had it towed to Penske Cadillac-BUICK-GMC  in Torrance, CA.  I believed and trusted in towing my vehicle to a dealership where they would take care of my vehicle and treat their customers with exceptional service.  In regards to Penske Cadillac-BUICK-GMC in Torrance, CA I was proven wrong that not all work with integrity. 

I called on Saturday and I did not receive a call back.  It was not until late Monday afternoon when I was able to get a quote from Robert our service manager.  The quote on the  repair was for a leaking water pump and the cost $1,160.00. Outrageous!

I could not believe the cost on this repair and did my own research on price quotes at other GMC dealerships with a service department.  I am glad I did because the lowest quote for this same repair was for $695.00 and this price quote included the service and parts at  Fladeboe Buick GMC in Irvine, CA.

I provide this significantly lower quote to the Penske Cadillac-BUICK-GMC Dealership in Torrance, CA where my vehicle is still waiting and give him the opportunity to earn my business.   Instead of taking this opportunity to earn my business he gave me the run around,  telling me that this is a new dealership and that if I go to this other dealership I would be using a non GMC factory part.  That does not make any sense and  is not true because all GMC dealerships use GMC parts in their service department.  I even call to confirm this information with the service department at Fladeboe Buick GMC in Irvine, CA.  My service manager at Penske Cadillac-BUICK-GMC in Torrance, CA  negotiates with me and that he would do the repair for $900.00.  I told him no thank you!  This is when he decided to match the price I was given at the Fladeboe dealership.  At this point he had already lost my trust and business and I told him that a tow truck was on its way to  pick up my vehicle.  

My service manager at Penske Cadillac-BUICK-GMC Dealership in Torrance, CA continues to tell me that I will need to pay a $125.00 diagnostic fee prior to the release of my vehicle.  I told him I would gladly pay $125.00 more not to do business with a dealership that over charges their customers for services that are significantly less elsewhere at dealerships like Fladeboe Buick GMC in Irvine, CA.
