I went to my local PNC Bank ATM on November 12th(Veteran's Day), and requested $400.00.  I was shorted $38.00.  Instead of receiving 20 $20.00.00 bills, I received 18 $20.00 and 2 $1.00 bills.  My receipt showed I withdrew $400.00.  I even held the money I received up to the camera after my husband counted the money, and realized I was short.  I was very upset.

After arriving home as the bank was closed due to a Holiday, I immediately contacted the phone number on the back of my ATM card.  I was told by a PNC representative it was no big deal, and even questioned her about it.

The following morning I contacted my local Branch of PNC to report what had occurred.  I was told they were just getting ready to balance the ATM, and she would would call me back shortly.  I waited and stilll had not heard anything so I contacted them in the early afternoon. The ATM balanced, so I was told by the representative tellers make change via the ATM.

Wednesday, November 14th I received 3 phone calls from PNC...1 from the local branch, and 2 from the call centers, telling me they had given me back my money of $38.00 into my account.

I thought the issue had been resolved, until I received a letter November 20th from a Pittsburg address of PNC that my money was a "provisional(temporary) credit to your acount, while being investigated."  The previous phone calls on November 14th never ever stated this to me that this was a (temporary)credit.

On November 23'rd I received another letter from PNC...stating the following...."After investigating, we determined that the ATM is question correctlyprocessed your transaction.  Please be advised that the provisional)temporary) credit totalling $38.00, and applicable fees related to this dispute that had been previously credited to your acount will be reversed on 11/28/2012..."

Funny thing...Amy at the local branch verbally told me yesterday...she believes me, and continually apologized to me.

In light of this, basically I am being called a liar by PNC. My integrity, my name, reputation, etc....has been tarnished by PNC!

I still have in my possession the 2 $1.00 bills that were supoosed to be the $20.00 dollar bills.

I will never ever use an ATM machine again!
