Prism Projection Company refuses to pay for firmware development services Sully Iowa

Early December 2014, I got an email from Garret Young, Prism-Projection Inc. indicating they would need help with getting their firmware started on a new CPU that I had plenty of experience with - I worked for the company that makes the CPU as a firmware engineer.

Their request was for me to work with their lead engineer, Andy Stangeland, who was located in Corona, CA.

I had helped Andy get started with the new CPU and the associated development environment. I worked on several tasks assigned by Andy - all of which I had completed and delivered (and working).

Upon submitting my first invoice in the beginning of January 2015, I received a response from Garret that they would pay "in the not too distant future."

Regardless, they had urgently asked me to spend more time working for them, so I did so in good faith. Eventually, I had asked again for payment of their outstanding balance - where, oddly enough, they stopped responding to my communication attempts altogether. Neither Garret nor Andy responded once payment was requested.

Six months after submitting my first invoice and numerous communication attempts, I received a letter from Garret that my work was no good and not useful to them and indications on some possible negotiation upon my work. After digging around online, I found similar "work no good" complaints and that this was not the first time Prism-Projection decided not to pay their bills. Two other people had left bad reviews about the company not paying up.

After contacting of these individuals, one said that he finally got paid and had removed his negative reviews (requested by Prism Projections).

As I learned too late, and possibly for others who wish to be paid for their services...do business with Prism Projections at your own risk! I'm currently working on filing either a small claim or lawsuit against them for not paying for services performed.
