I have been a dissatisfied customer of Protect America's since day one. I have had nothing but problems with the set up, the equipment and calling in and getting help has been hell. These people take your money and then have no regard for you afterward. I haven't even been able to use my alarm system yet I am being made to pay on a contract that I thought was 2 yrs and just found out that it is actually 3 yrs. I recently moved from one home to another which totally boggled thier brains! Even though I have called in twice to give them my new address and request a "move kit" (which appears to simply be just new velcro to stick the stupid flimsy alarm pieces to my doors and windows) and those idiots are sending it out via "slow boat"and I was told twice now that it will take 7-12 days to get to me! The first time I called they credited me back $10. I had to call again and I get an additional $10, but in no way am I getting a full month credited!  This company and the alarm equipment are absolutely horrid. Please do your self a favor and do not purchase this.

I thought I did good research before purchasing this system but I was a fool and learned a big lesson. Next time I will look at the consumer rip-off sites like this first. i have been completely unsatisfied since I received my equipment. Not only is this crap flimsy, but I had to actually install this system myself which is ridiculous. I should have just stuck with my ADT system and had them transfer my service from my house that got foreclosed on to my rental. I felt so unsafe about this system that I never used it the entire year I was in the house I rented. I couldn't get the stupid system to work right and there were too many hoops to jump through just to arm and disarm the stupid system. I made multiple attempts to call the sales rep back and got no reply. Then, I called the technician and he was rude, cut me off, and then transferred me immediately! I tried to get out of the contract and we all know how that goes. Also, to further add insult to injury, I was told this was a 2 yr contact and just recently found out that it is a 3 yr contract!!!! I have had to move again just last month and requested a move kit. I have had to call TWICE to let them know that I STILL have not received the kit and cannot even attempt to try to connect this piece of crap at my new home. They will not credit me the full month I have been without service either! Is there ANY way to get out of this contract???
