After losing our beloved boston terrier of 11 years we were ready for a new dog in our home. We searched the internet looking for an AKA (top quality dog with blood lines) certified puppy. We Did not want to buy from a pet store. We contacted a breeder who said the puppies were now at the puppy store. Putting asides our doubts of a pet store we felt better knowing he was a highly certified puppy from a local breeder. We bought the 8week old boston for 750$. They offer no taxes if you pay in cash so we did. Big mistake. My boyfriend signs a contract stating the FL LAW says any health issues need to be reported within 10 days in order for the pet shop to cover vet bills and an exchange of the dog if he/she has a congenital health defect.  it says no refunds.

We later found out FL lemon law states you have 14 days and the pet shop does have to issue you A full refund within 72 hours. As soon as we got the puppy home he was coughing actually hacking, throwing up, runny nose, not eating & runny eyes. We brought the puppy to OUR vet who said he had kennel cough (& if he has it so does all the other dogs there) his temperament is lethargic she examined his gums and said he was anemic and she said he had a heart murmur. She examined the document the pet stores vet signed the week before claiming he was perfectly healthy & said a heart murmur should of ea silly been detected then by their vet. She told us we had an unhealthy puppy and recommended us a eco cardiogram to see the full functions of the heart.

This test costs 400 in addition to the vet visit the antibiotics and cough medicine. She also recommend a chest xray bc she believes his kennel cough may be so bad  he has pneumonia.  We are devastated we end up buying the medicine just to get him feeling better and call the pet shop . They told us we need to take the puppy to their vet an hour & a half away from our home. We schedule an appt for the next morning. The vet who signed the health bill agrees of all the dogs conditions BUT tells us we have to sign over the rights to the puppy back to the pet shop.  So now they have our cash, NO refunds (wish we would of paid card to dispute the transaction) and now we sign over the dog?

Well we didn't & we went to the pet shop and spoke with a worker there who assured us if we did sign him over they would allow us to have him back  after he's treated(So they say). We said just give us the 500 for the appointment we need and we will still keep the dog no matter the outcome. they said that's not their 'policy' & offered us a replacement' puppy um no thank you I'm already attached to this poor sick puppy. We brought him back to the vet and left him :( I felt like I lost my dog all over again not knowing if I'll ever see him again. We cAlled later that day to see if they had done the X-ray they hadn't and were awaiting to hear back from the owner of the shop. The next day we call still no X-ray and the doctor didn't return our call to speak with us. This owner is out to profit he's not going to cover the medical needs this dog needs and who knows where this poor puppy will end up.  

I want my dog back I'm going to drive there and take the dog back and get treatment for him on my own bc by the FL law after he gets a second opinion on the dogs condition I can take him anywhere for treatment and bill the pet store. After reading more reviews here about this shop and it's owner Jhonny I know he won't pay. He's a low life scum selling sick puppies to peoPle! It's sad for me to think how bad the other animals are suffering there!! I will be seeking legal actions against this horrible man & company !! No compassion! All I can do now is care for this lil guy and dog deep in my wallet for all the future vet expenses. At least if he's with me I know he will get the proper care. I can't live with myself just leaving this puppy In their care. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE and the vet bills DO NOT SHOP FROM PUPPIES OF KENDALL THEY NEED TO BE PUT OU. OF BUSINESS !
