We are an Interior Design Firm and insist that no one does any business with Ralph Murrietta! He is an outright LIAR!! He will say anything to make you feel like everything is okay. You will find many complaints against him and many aliases that he uses to scam people!

We first met Ralph in 2011. Said he worked for Royalty Shutters. Told us he was the direct contact for all orders. Gave us his email in 2011: royaltyshutters@aol.com . This year his email changed to: installerralph@gmail.com. It is pretty easy to change your emails when people are pissed off at you. His Phone number is (760) 899-1456. He is 51 years old, born in 1961. He is Ralph J Murrietta Jr. 

Had a big job for him in Santa Barbara, Ca. for one of our residential clients. He arrived no problem and measured. Gave us a quote for 15 windows. We asked him to revise the bid, that one window was missing. But could not get him on the phone, respond via email or revise the quote. We had to send our proposal on 7/17/12 to the client without his revised number. Said he was too busy measuring and installing jobs. We moved forward and sent him a Purchase order on 9/10/12 and told him we would send a deposit check. He called asking where did we send the check?

We mailed more than $2,700 to the address he had given us, and led us to believe, this was the manufacturers address: 1621 Aspen St. Santa Ana Ca. He said all was fine. He called back a few days later and said that since we had handwritten the address on the check, that the bank would not deposit the check. He said we had to send him a Cashiers check. Since we had to stop payment on the original check, we incurred a $100 fee from the bank. We wrote up a Cashiers check per his request, but asked him for his SS#, address and D.L. #. We wrote up a letter, asking him to acknowledge payment, sign the document and return to us. None of which does any good if all the info you have is a complete FABRICATION!

Ralph called a couple of days later saying that he still hadnt received a check, and he was doing us a favor by putting our order through without a check. He insisted on another Cashiers check, so we met with him at the bank, trying to cancel the previous and hand him the second one in person. Unfortunately, the bank said they could not cancel the first Cashiers check, so we felt we were being manipulated. But our client had already made their deposit, so we felt we had to see it through just in case Ralph was telling the truth. He said he would receive the shutters on the 10/12/12 so we scheduled the installation on 17th. Everything seemed okay for the moment.

We got a call from Ralph the evening before the installation, saying that he didnt have the shutters and would need to reschedule. Well then why didnt he call on the 12th, the day he was to receive them, and tell us he didnt get them?!! We adamantly emailed him and called him numerous times to speak with him directly. Much later on the day of the install, he called back and said he was in Big Bear on an installation and didnt get reception. All of these excuses were lies of course. We decided to do a quick search on the internet to see what we could find on him. We saw complaints against him from people online, that were disturbing. We suddenly became uneasy, but we still tried to schedule another install, in hopes of somehow this was all a misunderstanding.

At this point, we had a client waiting for her shutters. We were under pressure to complete our job. So we rescheduled for 11/7/12. On 11/5/12, two days before our re-scheduled install, we received an email from him stating that, The company I was dealing with has gone out of business and I have been forced to do the same. Really? Because they would have known that and would have told you that awhile back. If you were an honorable man, you would have never lied so much to get a quick buck from us. We are out $2,800!!
